Market Forces Driving Demand for Certified Risk Leaders

    Oil and Gas Ramp-Up Risk

As the National Oil Corporation drives output toward 1.6 million bpd, brownfield and greenfield EPC projects carry heavy technical, schedule and safety risk that demands structured, PMI-aligned risk management.

PMI-RMP builds risk strategy and analysis skills

    Reconstruction at Scale

National rebuild programmes across roads, ports, power and water need risk aggregation and coordination across many concurrent projects, the exact capability the credential is built to develop.

    PMI-RMP builds portfolio-grade risk skills

    Power and Utility Instability

Chronic outages and grid modernisation add high-consequence uncertainty to delivery, so employers value professionals who can plan responses, hold contingency reserves and monitor triggers.

PMI-RMP builds risk response planning skills

    Banking and FX Pressure

Liquidity and foreign-exchange constraints, especially in the western region, add financial risk to project funding, pushing organisations to quantify and manage exposure formally.

    PMI-RMP builds quantitative risk skills

    Scarce Certified Risk Talent

Libya has a deep pool of project managers but few credentialed risk specialists. The advanced eligibility behind PMI-RMP makes holders rare and sought-after by major employers.

PMI-RMP makes certified specialists stand out

    Contract and Regulatory Complexity

EPC contracts and evolving regulation require formal identification, analysis and treatment of threats and opportunities, a discipline certified risk professionals bring to project teams.

    After PMI-RMP

Eligible for specialist risk roles across oil and gas, construction, banking and reconstruction

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management, recognising expertise in identifying, assessing, treating and monitoring project risk. It is designed for project risk managers, senior project managers, PMO analysts and risk consultants who specialise in risk on projects and programmes.

    General

What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management, recognising expertise in identifying, assessing, treating and monitoring project risk. It is designed for project risk managers, senior project managers, PMO analysts and risk consultants who specialise in risk on projects and programmes.

Is the PMI-RMP worth it for professionals in Tripoli?

Yes. As Libya rebuilds and the National Oil Corporation drives output toward 1.6 million barrels per day, employers in oil and gas, construction, banking and reconstruction increasingly seek certified risk specialists. The credential is globally recognised and helps you access senior, better-paid risk roles.

Is the PMP required before taking the PMI-RMP?

No. PMP certification is not a prerequisite for the PMI-RMP. You may apply directly based on your risk management experience and education. Many holders do also hold the PMP, as the two credentials are complementary.

How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle through PMI.

Which standard is the PMI-RMP based on?

The exam is based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline (ECO) effective January 2022, aligned to PMI's Practice Standard for Project Risk Management and the PMBOK Guide. The current ECO covers predictive, agile and hybrid risk management.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMI-RMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 32 contact hours of instruction, practice questions, mock exams, domain-wise revision, application guidance and learner support with a course completion certificate. Request a quote for a full breakdown.

How much does PMI-RMP training cost in Tripoli?

Training pricing in Tripoli is available on request and varies by format, whether live virtual, classroom or corporate group training. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI in USD. Talk to a learning advisor for a tailored quote.

How much is the PMI-RMP exam fee?

For reference, the PMI exam fee is around USD 520 for PMI members and USD 670 for non-members, billed separately by PMI and not part of the training fee. Fees vary by region, so verify the current amount at pmi.org before applying.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, engineering functions and leadership teams across Libya. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

The PMI-RMP exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions, including single-answer and multiple-answer formats. It is delivered online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre, and is based on the January 2022 ECO.

How many questions are on the PMI-RMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 115 questions and you have 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to complete it. The questions are distributed across the five risk management domains defined in the ECO.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

There are five domains: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%), per the January 2022 Examination Content Outline.

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail, with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

What happens if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You are allowed up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts; confirm current amounts at pmi.org. Our practice resources and revision support are built to help you pass first time.

    Course Content

What topics does the PMI-RMP training cover?

The training covers all five ECO domains: Risk Strategy and Planning, Risk Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Response, and Monitor and Close Risks, plus qualitative and quantitative techniques, response strategies, and application and exam preparation.

Does this training meet the PMI-RMP education requirement?

The programme provides 32 contact hours of risk management education, which fully satisfies the 30-hour requirement for Set B (bachelor's degree) and Set C (GAC accredited degree) candidates. Set A candidates need 40 hours and should add at least 8 further hours of study.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-RMP?

There are three routes. Set A: secondary diploma plus 36 months of risk experience in the last 5 years and 40 hours of education. Set B: bachelor's degree plus 24 months and 30 hours. Set C: a GAC accredited degree plus 12 months and 30 hours. Experience must be specifically in project risk.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the 115-question format, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness across all five domains.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest ECO?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022 and to PMI's Practice Standard for Project Risk Management, covering predictive, agile and hybrid approaches.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility steps to sit the PMI-RMP exam?

Confirm you meet one of the three eligibility sets, complete the required risk management education hours, submit your PMI application documenting experience and education, pass any audit if selected, then pay the exam fee and schedule through Pearson VUE.

How do I enrol in the PMI-RMP course?
