Do I need experience to earn the CAPM?

No. The CAPM is the only PMI credential that requires no project management work experience. You need a secondary degree, such as a high school diploma or global equivalent, plus 23 hours of project management education, which this training provides.

How long is the CAPM valid and how is it renewed?

The CAPM is valid for three years. Unlike the PMP, it is renewed by retaking and passing the CAPM exam within the certification cycle, rather than by earning PDUs.

Is the CAPM recognised internationally?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the CAPM is recognised by employers in over 200 countries, including across Mexico, as a credible entry-level project management qualification.

What is included in the CAPM training fee?

How much is the CAPM exam fee?

No. The PMI exam fee is paid separately to PMI when you apply for the exam. Your training fee covers the course, materials and exam preparation.

What does the CAPM exam cover?

The CAPM exam covers four domains from the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts, Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies, Agile Frameworks and Methodologies, and Business Analysis Frameworks.

How many questions are on the CAPM exam?

The CAPM exam has 150 questions and you have three hours to complete it. The questions are multiple choice, in single-answer and multiple-answer formats.

How and where do I take the CAPM exam?

You can sit the CAPM exam online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. The exam is closed book and based on the CAPM Examination Content Outline aligned to the PMBOK Guide, Eighth Edition.

Is there a fixed passing score for the CAPM?

No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail with performance feedback across the four CAPM domains, so aim for broad mastery of all of them.

What if I do not pass the CAPM on the first attempt?

You can take up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Our training includes mock exams and domain-wise practice to help you prepare thoroughly and sit the exam with confidence.

Which edition is the CAPM exam based on?
