Assessment

Is there an exam at the end of the course?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Azure DevOps exercises across the day rather than a formal test.

Do I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. On completing the programme you receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning. This recognises your attendance and the practical Azure DevOps skills you have built.

How are the skills assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead you apply each concept through guided exercises, building a repository with branch policies, a CI/CD pipeline, a Bicep deployment and an Azure Monitor setup, so you practise every skill as you learn it.

Course Content

What will I learn in Azure DevOps training?

You will learn source control with Azure Repos, CI/CD design with Azure Pipelines YAML, agile planning with Azure Boards, infrastructure as code with ARM and Bicep, containerised deployment with ACR and AKS, monitoring with Azure Monitor, and DevSecOps practices.

Does the course include hands-on exercises?

Yes. Hands-on exercises run throughout. You build a working CI/CD pipeline, write and deploy a Bicep template, configure branch policies and set up Azure Monitor and Application Insights, all on the real Azure platform.

Are ARM templates and Bicep both covered?

Yes. You learn ARM templates as Azure's native JSON infrastructure format and Bicep as the cleaner domain-specific language, including modules and deploying both from Azure Pipelines for repeatable, version-controlled infrastructure.

Is Azure Kubernetes Service part of the training?

Yes. You cover building Docker images, storing them in Azure Container Registry and deploying to Azure Kubernetes Service using the Kubernetes and Helm pipeline tasks, including canary and rolling deployment strategies.
