The Foundation exam is closed book with 60 multiple-choice, single-answer questions in 60 minutes. The pass mark is 60 percent, which is 36 correct answers out of 60. It tests knowledge and comprehension of PRINCE2 7.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book, using the PRINCE2 manual, with 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks in 150 minutes. The pass mark is 60 percent, which is 42 marks out of 70. It tests applying and tailoring PRINCE2 in scenarios.

Do I need Foundation before taking Practitioner?

Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D, is required before the Practitioner exam. Foundation itself has no prerequisites and is open to everyone.
