Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a combined project management certification based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), owned and examined by PeopleCert, which acquired AXELOS in 2021. Foundation proves you understand the method, while Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor it on real projects.

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification?

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a combined project management certification based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), owned and examined by PeopleCert, which acquired AXELOS in 2021. Foundation proves you understand the method, while Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor it on real projects.

Is PRINCE2 certification worth it in Singapore?

Yes. PRINCE2 is a globally recognised method valued by Singapore employers in banking, technology, construction and government, where structured project delivery is in demand. Holding both levels signals you can govern projects with a proven framework, which supports stronger roles and pay.

Who should take this PRINCE2 course?

The programme suits new and practising project managers, project team members, PMO staff and career changers. Foundation has no prerequisites, so beginners can start here, while Practitioner adds the applied skills experienced professionals need.

What is new in PRINCE2 7 compared with PRINCE2 6?

PRINCE2 7 (2023) introduces the People capability as a core element, renames Themes to Practices, adds commercial management, and integrates agile and sustainability. It aligns with the PRINCE2 7 Managing Successful Projects manual published by PeopleCert.

How long are the PRINCE2 certifications valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points per cycle, while Practitioner is renewed by retaking the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher PRINCE2 qualification.

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in Singapore?

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner training fees in Singapore vary by format and schedule and are available on request. The PeopleCert exam fees are billed separately. Request a quote for current pricing and group rates.

What is included in the course fee?

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam fees are set by PeopleCert and are usually purchased as part of an accredited training and dual-exam package. Confirm whether your chosen plan includes both the Foundation and Practitioner vouchers when you enrol.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions, runs for 60 minutes, and is closed book. You need 60 percent, or 36 out of 60, to pass. It tests your knowledge of the PRINCE2 7 principles, practices and processes.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, runs for 150 minutes, and is open book with the PRINCE2 manual permitted. You need 60 percent, or 42 out of 70, to pass. The questions are scenario based.

Do I need to pass Foundation before Practitioner?

Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation is a prerequisite for the Practitioner exam. Accepted equivalents such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA levels may also qualify. Verify the current accepted equivalents with PeopleCert before you apply.

How and where do I take the PRINCE2 exams?

Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online proctored 24/7 or at an authorised test centre. They are usually arranged through your accredited training provider as part of the combined training and dual-exam package.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can resit the exam under PeopleCert's re-sit policy. Our training includes mock exams and preparation support to help you approach both papers with confidence. Ask about retake options when you enrol.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the PRINCE2 training?

The programme covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices (Business Case, Organizing, Plans, Quality, Risk, Issues and Progress) and the seven processes, plus tailoring and exam preparation for both levels.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation has no prerequisites, so beginners can start here. The training builds from the fundamentals to applied Practitioner scenarios, with trainer support throughout.

    How is the training structured?
