What Is the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification?UntitledAn Independent Mark of DMAIC Capability

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification training in Singapore equips you to lead data-driven improvement projects using the proven DMAIC methodology. The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) is an intermediate, independently recognised credential that proves you can reduce defects, cut waste and raise quality across real processes. Validated against the IASSC Body of Knowledge, the Green Belt sits above Yellow Belt and below Black Belt, making it the practitioner credential employers look for when filling quality, process and operations roles. You learn to define and scope problems, measure performance, analyse root causes with statistics, improve processes and sustain the gains. The programme suits quality engineers, process and operations professionals, and anyone moving into continuous improvement across Singapore's manufacturing, semiconductor, pharmaceutical and services sectors. Train with Invensis Learning and move from study to a globally portable credential with a clear, supported path.

Invensis Learning is an accredited IASSC (Peoplecert) training partner in Singapore (2778), approved to deliver official LSSGB training using IASSC-aligned courseware.

Skills You Will Build Across the DMAIC CycleFrom Defining Problems to Sustaining Results

This Green Belt programme builds practical, project-ready capability across Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control. By the end, you can diagnose process problems with data, deliver measurable improvement and sustain the results at work.

    Define and Scope Improvement Projects

Skills covered in the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt span all five DMAIC phases. In the Define phase you will build project charters, capture the Voice of the Customer, identify critical-to-quality characteristics and select high-value projects.

    Measure Process Performance

Map processes with SIPOC and value stream maps, run measurement system analysis, and calculate baseline metrics such as DPMO, yield and process capability so improvement is grounded in real data.

    Analyse Root Causes with Data

Use graphical analysis, hypothesis testing, correlation and regression to separate real causes from noise, and confirm what truly drives defects and variation in a process.

    Improve Processes and Cut Waste

Apply Lean tools such as 5S, value stream mapping and waste elimination alongside designed experiments to redesign processes, reduce cost and raise quality and speed.

    Control and Sustain the Gains

Hold improvements in place with statistical process control, control charts, poka-yoke mistake-proofing, Kanban and control plans so results last long after the project closes.

Apply Lean Six Sigma Across Sectors

Translate the DMAIC method into your own context, whether semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, logistics or financial services, and lead scoped improvement projects with confidence.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is an intermediate, independently recognised credential that validates your ability to apply the DMAIC methodology to real improvement projects. It covers Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control, and sits above Yellow Belt and below Black Belt.

    General

What is the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification?

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is an intermediate, independently recognised credential that validates your ability to apply the DMAIC methodology to real improvement projects. It covers Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control, and sits above Yellow Belt and below Black Belt.

Is the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt worth it in Singapore?

Yes. With Singapore's high-cost manufacturing, semiconductor and services sectors chasing quality and efficiency, certified improvement talent is in demand. Green Belt roles average around S$88,000 a year, and the credential opens quality, process and operations career paths.

Who should take the Green Belt certification?

The Green Belt suits quality engineers, process and operations professionals, project team members and anyone moving into continuous improvement. There are no prerequisites, so it also fits Yellow Belt holders and those new to Lean Six Sigma who want a practitioner credential.

Is the Green Belt recognised by employers in Singapore?

Yes. The Green Belt is a globally recognised, vendor-neutral credential valued by employers across Singapore and worldwide, including semiconductor, electronics, pharmaceutical, aerospace, logistics and financial services organisations that run improvement programmes.

How long is the Green Belt certification valid?

The credential is valid for three years from the date of certification. To keep current status you pass a shorter recertification exam, helping you stay aligned with current Lean Six Sigma practice.

    Pricing

How much does Green Belt training cost in Singapore?

Training fees vary by format and schedule, so the price is available on request. The fee typically covers instructor-led training, courseware, practice questions and mock exams. Talk to a learning advisor for a tailored quote and upcoming batches.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee usually includes live instructor-led training, structured courseware aligned to the Lean Six Sigma Body of Knowledge, practice questions, mock exams, exam-readiness support, learner support and a course completion certificate.

No. The IASSC exam voucher is purchased separately and billed in USD, with the price varying by region. The training fee covers your preparation; you book the exam voucher through the official channel when you are ready.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for plants, quality functions and improvement teams. Contact us for a group quote tailored to your organisation.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you and to confirm what applies to your enrolment.

    Exam

What is the format of the Green Belt exam?

The exam has 100 questions, is closed book, and uses multiple-choice and true or false formats. You are allotted 3 hours, and some forms include up to 10 additional non-graded questions across the five DMAIC phases.

What is the passing score for the Green Belt exam?

You need a minimum of 385 points out of 550 to pass. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control phases, so broad mastery across all five matters more than any single area.

How and where is the exam delivered?

The exam is taken online with web-based proctoring on demand, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. This flexibility lets you sit it from home or office in Singapore, or at a nearby authorised centre, whichever suits you.

Are there prerequisites to sit the Green Belt exam?

No. There are no formal education, work experience or training prerequisites to sit the exam. Training and real-world project experience are recommended to prepare you, but they are not mandatory requirements.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

You can retake the exam by purchasing another voucher. Our training includes mock exams, practice questions and exam-readiness support to help you pass with confidence, and our team can guide you on rescheduling your attempt.

Do I need prior experience or a statistics background?

No prior experience or statistics background is required. The training builds concepts step by step, from basic metrics to hypothesis testing, with worked examples and practice so beginners can follow and apply each tool with confidence.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?
