Assessment

Is there an exam for this course?

No. Azure DevOps training is a non-certification course with no exam. Your learning is reinforced through hands-on Azure DevOps exercises throughout the one-day programme.

How is my learning assessed?

There is no formal assessment. You apply each concept during practical exercises, from writing a YAML pipeline to deploying to AKS, so you build real capability during the session.

What certificate do I receive?

You receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning after completing the one-day programme. It recognises your attendance and the practical Azure DevOps skills you have built.

Is this an official Microsoft certification?

No. This is a practical skills training course, not an official Microsoft certification exam. Azure DevOps services are products of Microsoft Corporation; Invensis Learning delivers the hands-on skills training.

Will these skills stay relevant over time?

Yes. The DevOps principles, CI/CD practices and infrastructure-as-code skills you learn are immediately applicable and do not expire, although Microsoft updates Azure DevOps features regularly.

Course Content

What topics does the course cover?

The course covers DevOps principles and the Azure DevOps ecosystem, source control and CI with Azure Repos and Pipelines, continuous delivery, Agile planning with Azure Boards, infrastructure as code, containers with ACR and AKS, monitoring, and DevSecOps.

What will I be able to do after the training?

You will be able to build YAML CI/CD pipelines, manage Git repositories with branch policies, deploy infrastructure with Bicep, run containers on AKS, set up Azure Monitor and Application Insights, and add security scanning to pipelines.

How long is the course?

The course runs for one day (eight hours), covering all six modules with concept explanations, Azure architecture context and hands-on exercises throughout. A two half-day format is also available.

Is the course hands-on?

Yes. You follow along in the Azure DevOps portal and Azure CLI while the instructor demonstrates each service, configuring pipelines, infrastructure as code and deployments in realistic scenarios.

Do I need an Azure account?

You should have access to an Azure subscription and an Azure DevOps organisation before the training. Azure DevOps has a free tier at dev.azure.com. Check whether a shared training environment is provided when you enrol.
