Skills You Will Build Across the DMAIC CycleTools You Will Apply at Work

This Green Belt programme teaches the practical skills covered across the five DMAIC phases, from defining and measuring processes to analysing, improving and controlling them. By the end, you can lead scoped improvement projects and back your decisions with data.

    Define Projects That Matter

Learn to scope improvement projects with a clear charter, capture the voice of the customer, identify critical-to-quality characteristics and use the Y = f(x) problem-solving strategy to focus on what counts.

    Measure Process Performance

Map processes with SIPOC and value stream maps, run measurement system analysis, assess process capability and calculate core Six Sigma metrics such as DPMO, FTY and cycle time.

    Analyse Root Causes with Data

Apply descriptive and inferential statistics, hypothesis testing and graphical analysis to separate real causes of variation from noise and pinpoint where defects come from.

    Improve and Optimise Processes

Use simple and multiple regression and designed experiments, including full factorial designs, to test changes and identify the settings that deliver the best, most reliable results.

    Control and Sustain the Gains

Hold improvements in place with statistical process control charts, control plans, Poka-Yoke mistake-proofing and response plans so the benefits last beyond the project.

    Apply Lean Waste-Reduction Tools

Integrate Lean tools such as 5S, value stream mapping and Kanban within DMAIC to remove the seven wastes and streamline flow across operations.
