Why Eastern Cape Projects Demand PRINCE2-Certified Leaders

    Complex Automotive Project Pipelines

Gqeberha's OEMs and component suppliers run overlapping model launches and plant upgrades, so employers need managers who can control scope, stages and risk to one common method.

PRINCE2 builds stage and scope control skills

    Coega SEZ and Infrastructure Scale-Up

New investment at the Coega Special Economic Zone brings large, multi-stakeholder builds where structured governance and clear tolerances keep capital projects on track.

PRINCE2 builds governance and tolerance skills

    Inconsistent Project Governance

Many Eastern Cape organisations still run projects on ad hoc practices, causing scope creep and rework that the PRINCE2 principles and controls are designed to prevent.

    PRINCE2 principles prevent scope creep

    Scarce Certified Project Talent

Port Elizabeth has strong delivery experience but fewer formally certified project managers, so a recognised PRINCE2 credential helps professionals stand out to employers.

PRINCE2 makes certified managers stand out

    Public-Sector Delivery Pressure

Municipal and public programmes face tight scrutiny on budgets and outcomes, driving demand for managers who can evidence continued business justification and progress control.

    PRINCE2 builds business-justification discipline

    Renewable Energy Build-Out

Eastern Cape wind and energy projects need coordination and risk management across many suppliers, favouring managers trained in a structured, tailorable method.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

It is a combined project management credential covering two levels of the PRINCE2 method. Foundation confirms you understand PRINCE2, and Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor it to real projects. It is based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) from AXELOS, with both exams delivered by PeopleCert.

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a combined project management credential covering two levels of the PRINCE2 method. Foundation confirms you understand PRINCE2, and Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor it to real projects. It is based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) from AXELOS, with both exams delivered by PeopleCert.

Who should take PRINCE2 training in Port Elizabeth?

It suits aspiring and practising project managers, team leaders, project coordinators and PMO staff. In Port Elizabeth it is especially relevant for professionals in automotive, manufacturing, ports, energy and public-sector projects who want to plan and govern delivery to a recognised standard.

Is PRINCE2 certification worth it in Port Elizabeth?

Yes. PRINCE2 is one of the most requested project methods in South Africa, and certified professionals progress into roles from project coordinator to senior project and programme manager, where South African salaries average around R1m. It is a strong, transferable credential for the Eastern Cape market. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

Do I need to take Foundation before Practitioner?

Yes. The two levels are designed to be taken in sequence, Foundation first, then Practitioner. PRINCE2 Foundation (or an accepted equivalent such as PMP or CAPM) is the prerequisite for the Practitioner exam, and the combined programme covers both.

How long is the PRINCE2 certification valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Practitioner can be renewed by retaking the exam, completing CPD through a PeopleCert MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher-level PRINCE2 qualification. Confirm current renewal options at peoplecert.org.

What is new in PRINCE2 7 compared with PRINCE2 6?

PRINCE2 7 (2023) introduces the People capability as a core element, renames Themes to Practices, and integrates commercial management, agile and sustainability considerations. The seven principles and seven processes remain central to the method.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in Port Elizabeth?

Training is quoted in South African rand and varies by format and whether exams are bundled, so the fee is available on request. The PeopleCert exam fees are billed separately under regional pricing. Request a quote for current Port Elizabeth pricing.

What is included in the PRINCE2 course fee?

The training fee typically includes accredited PRINCE2 7 courseware, practice questions, mock exams, exam preparation, learner support and a course completion certificate. Bundled packages may also include the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers.

Are the PeopleCert exam fees included in the price?

It depends on the package. Some packages bundle the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others quote training only, with exams billed separately by PeopleCert. Ask a learning advisor which option suits you.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project teams, PMOs and departments across the Eastern Cape. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

What payment methods and instalment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that works best for you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes. It is closed book with a single-answer format, and the pass mark is 60%, which is 36 out of 60 correct.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, over 150 minutes. It is open book, with the PRINCE2 manual permitted, and uses scenario-based questions. The pass mark is 60%, which is 42 out of 70 marks.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can resit through PeopleCert, and our training includes practice questions, mock exams and exam techniques to help you prepare thoroughly. Selected plans also include retake support, so a first attempt need not be a barrier.

How and where can I take the PRINCE2 exams?

Both exams can be taken online through PeopleCert's OnVUE proctoring, available 24/7, or at a PeopleCert authorised test centre. Exams are usually arranged as part of your training package.

Which edition are the PRINCE2 exams based on?

The exams are based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), published by AXELOS and delivered by PeopleCert, and aligned to the PRINCE2 7 Managing Successful Projects manual.

    Course Content

Can a complete beginner take this course?

Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation has no formal prerequisites, so beginners are welcome. The programme starts with the fundamentals before building up to Practitioner-level application, and trainer support helps newcomers keep pace.

What topics does the PRINCE2 training cover?

The training covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices (business case, organising, plans, quality, risk, issues and progress) and the seven processes, plus tailoring the method to different project contexts.

What learning resources and materials are provided?

You receive accredited PRINCE2 7 courseware, practice questions, full-length mock exams, quizzes and revision aids to reinforce each topic and build exam readiness for both levels.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PRINCE2 syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PRINCE2 7 Foundation and Practitioner syllabus and the Managing Successful Projects manual (7th Edition, 2023) from AXELOS and PeopleCert.

Will I receive a certificate after the training?

You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning, and on passing each exam you receive the official PeopleCert digital certificate and badge for PRINCE2 Foundation and PRINCE2 Practitioner.

How do I enrol in the PRINCE2 course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live virtual classroom training, self-paced e-learning, classroom training and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

New batches run regularly for both individuals and teams in Port Elizabeth and online. View upcoming schedules or speak with a learning advisor to find the next available start date.

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back guarantee. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
