How is my learning assessed?

There is no formal assessment. You apply each Azure DevOps service through practical pipeline, infrastructure and monitoring exercises during the day, building capability through hands-on practice.

Do I earn a formal credential or accreditation?

No external credential or accreditation is awarded, as Azure DevOps training is a skills programme. You gain practical, immediately usable skills and an Invensis Learning completion certificate.

How long is the training and what is the format?

The course runs for one day (8 hours), or two half-days, and is delivered live virtual (online) or in a classroom, with hands-on Azure exercises throughout.

Course Content

What will I learn in Azure DevOps training?

You learn to use Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Azure Boards, Azure Artifacts and Azure Test Plans, deploy infrastructure as code with ARM and Bicep, run containers on AKS, and monitor with Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

What topics are covered in the syllabus?

The syllabus spans six modules: DevOps and the Azure ecosystem; source control and CI; continuous delivery; Agile planning and infrastructure as code; containers and monitoring; and DevSecOps with continuous improvement.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. There are no formal prerequisites. Some familiarity with Azure and basic development or operations concepts helps, but the course introduces every Azure DevOps service from a practitioner's perspective.

Are the exercises hands-on?

Yes. You work in the Azure DevOps portal and the Azure CLI throughout the day, configuring repositories, pipelines, Bicep templates, container deployments and monitoring alerts as the instructor demonstrates each service.

Is the content up to date with current Azure DevOps tools?

Yes. The course covers the current Azure DevOps toolchain from Microsoft, including the five Azure DevOps services, Bicep, AKS, Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Microsoft Defender for DevOps.
