The Practical Payoff of Lean Skills at WorkValue You Can Measure on the Line

    For Individuals

    For Individuals

Lean Manufacturing Training helps engineers, supervisors and operations professionals build a practical waste-elimination toolkit they can use from the first shift back. The programme suits anyone working in or managing a production or operations environment who wants to improve flow, cut cost and lift quality. Whether you run a line in a salmon or food plant, an assembly cell in an industrial parts factory, or a process area in a copper or lithium operation, the training connects everyday problems to the right Lean tool.

If you want to move from firefighting to a systematic way of improving how work flows, Lean gives you a method that employers across Chile recognise. You leave able to run a waste walk, map a value stream, set up 5S, calculate OEE and lead Kaizen on the floor.

    • Spot and remove the eight wastes (DOWNTIME) in your own work area
    • Shorten lead times by building flow and pull instead of pushing to forecast
    • Raise equipment effectiveness (OEE) through TPM and quick changeover
    • Bring order and safety to the workplace with 5S and visual management
    • Read and build value stream maps that target the real bottleneck
    • Lead shop-floor Kaizen and A3 problem solving with confidence
    • Apply a globally proven method rooted in the Toyota Production System
    • Strengthen your standing for continuous improvement and operations roles
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

Lean Manufacturing group training helps organisations build operational excellence by equipping whole teams with a common method for eliminating waste and improving flow. The training can be delivered for a production line, a plant, or a cross-functional improvement team. For manufacturers under margin and delivery pressure, this creates a scalable, flexible way to raise efficiency without new capital investment.

If your plant relies on individual heroics rather than a shared system, Lean group training gives your team one language for waste, flow and improvement. Managers, engineers, operators and maintenance align around the same tools, so gains hold across shifts and sites.

    • Build a shared Lean language across production, quality and maintenance
    • Cut waste, inventory and lead time to protect margins
    • Improve on-time delivery and OEE across plants and shifts
    • Standardise 5S, standard work and Kaizen across sites
    • Develop a pipeline of internal continuous improvement leaders
    • Tailor training to your own products, lines and value streams
    • Deliver onsite, live virtual or blended for teams across Chile
    • Turn operational excellence into a measurable, repeatable capability

Where Lean Skills Take You in ChileRoles, Sectors and Demand

Lean Manufacturing training builds skills that are in demand across Chile's industrial base, from copper and lithium operations in the north to salmon, food, forestry and wine plants in the centre and south. What Is Driving Lean Demand Across Chilean Industry

    Falling Copper Ore Grades

Chile's copper mines are processing lower ore grades, so plants must recover more value from every tonne. Lean tools cut waste and lift equipment effectiveness where margins are tightest.

Lean builds waste-elimination and OEE skills

    Record Exports, Tighter Standards

Food and salmon exports hit record levels in 2026, but global buyers expect consistent quality and delivery. Standard work, 5S and Kaizen keep output reliable at high volume.

Lean builds standard work and quality skills

    Industrial Output Under Pressure

Industrial production fell 7.5% year on year in May 2026, forcing manufacturers to protect margins. Waste elimination and flow improvement release capacity without new investment.

Lean frees capacity without new capital

    Scaling Lithium Processing

Chile's lithium expansion is standing up new processing operations at speed. Pull systems, TPM and value stream mapping help young plants stabilise flow and reliability.

Lean builds pull, TPM and mapping skills

    Scarce Improvement Talent

Employers report a shortage of professionals who can run continuous improvement on the floor. Lean-trained engineers and supervisors are rare and increasingly sought after.

Lean makes improvement specialists stand out

    Energy and Margin Discipline

High energy costs and capital discipline push Chilean producers to do more with less. Lean removes the non-value activity that inflates cost and rebalances work to value.

What framework is the training based on?

The training is based on the Toyota Production System (TPS), developed at Toyota by Taiichi Ohno and Shigeo Shingo, and the five Lean principles popularised in Lean Thinking. There is no separate governing body or standard exam for the course itself; it teaches an established, stable methodology.

Yes. We accept major cards and bank transfers and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for Lean Manufacturing Training?

No. This is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Lean tool exercises, waste identification activities and team discussion during the programme, rather than a formal test.

Do I get a certificate after the training?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning after completing the programme. This is not a certification from an external awarding body, as Lean Manufacturing training has no formal credential; it confirms you completed the training.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply Lean tools throughout the day: running a waste walk, mapping a value stream, assessing 5S, calculating OEE and sizing kanban, so you practise each skill on realistic plant scenarios.

    Is this a certification course?

No. Lean Manufacturing Training is a practical, non-certification skills programme. It builds a comprehensive Lean toolkit you can apply immediately, without an exam or an externally awarded certification.

How long is the training and what is the format?

The programme runs for one day (8 hours), and can also be delivered as two half-days. It combines concept explanation, real manufacturing examples and hands-on exercises, available in classroom, online (live virtual) and corporate onsite formats.

    Course Content

What topics does the Lean Manufacturing course cover?

The course covers Lean foundations and the Toyota Production System, the eight wastes (DOWNTIME), value stream mapping, 5S and visual management, pull systems and kanban, JIT, TPM and OEE, standard work, SMED, Heijunka, Poka Yoke and building a Kaizen culture.

What Lean tools will I learn to use?

You will learn to run waste walks, build value stream maps, implement 5S, design kanban pull systems, apply TPM and calculate OEE, write standard work, reduce changeover time with SMED, level production with Heijunka and lead Kaizen and A3 problem solving.

    Are there hands-on exercises?

Yes. Hands-on exercises run throughout the day, including a Gemba-based waste walk, value stream data collection, a 5S assessment, an OEE calculation and a kanban quantity exercise, so you apply each tool to realistic production scenarios.

What is OEE and will I learn to calculate it?

OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) measures equipment productivity as Availability times Performance times Quality. In the training you learn to calculate OEE, interpret the six big losses and understand why world-class performance sits at or above 85%.

How does this differ from Lean Six Sigma training?

Lean Manufacturing Training focuses on the practical manufacturing Lean toolkit: TPS, the eight wastes, VSM, 5S, kanban, JIT, TPM, OEE, SMED and Heijunka, in one day. Lean Six Sigma adds the Six Sigma DMAIC statistical method in a longer, more advanced programme.
