Is the PfMP worth it for professionals in Frankfurt?

Do I need PMP or PgMP before the PfMP?

No. Neither PMP nor PgMP is a formal prerequisite for the PfMP. Eligibility is based on general business experience and portfolio management experience, though many senior portfolio managers do hold one or both credentials.

How long is the PfMP valid and how is it renewed?

The PfMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle and pay the renewal fee.

How much does PfMP training cost in Frankfurt?

Training fees are quoted in euros and vary by format and provider, so pricing is available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in US dollars and is not part of the training fee. Request a quote for current euro pricing.

What is included in the PfMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates, application and panel-review support, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours.

How much is the PfMP exam fee?

PMI bills the exam separately in US dollars: for reference, around USD 800 for members and USD 1,000 for non-members. PMI membership (about USD 139 per year) reduces the exam fee. Confirm current fees on pmi.org before applying.

What is the format of the PfMP exam?

The exam is a closed-book, computer-based, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario and situational questions across five performance domains.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 170 questions and a four-hour (240-minute) allotted time. A portion are unscored pretest items. Results are reported with domain-level feedback rather than a fixed percentage score.

What are the PfMP exam domains and their weights?

Five domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%). Broad mastery across all five is the best preparation strategy.

What is the PfMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. Both the panel review and the written exam must be passed to earn the credential.

What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our mock exams and trainer support are designed to help you prepare thoroughly for a first-time pass.
