Is the CAPM worth it in Ecuador?

Yes. CAPM is recognised by banks, technology firms, telecoms and consultancies across Ecuador as a credible entry credential. Do I need work experience to take CAPM?

No. CAPM requires no project management work experience. You need a secondary degree (high school diploma or global equivalent) and 23 hours of project management education, which this training provides.

Is CAPM recognised internationally?

Yes. As a PMI credential, CAPM carries global recognition through PMI's network in over 200 countries. Employers value it as a credible entry-level project management credential in Ecuador and worldwide.

How long is the CAPM certification valid?

CAPM is valid for three years. Unlike the PMP, CAPM is renewed by retaking and passing the CAPM exam within the three-year cycle, not by earning PDUs.

How much does CAPM training cost in Ecuador?

CAPM training fees vary by format (live virtual, onsite or self-paced) and are available on request. The fee covers your training, courseware and 23 contact hours; the PMI exam fee is billed separately. Request a quote for current pricing in Ecuador.

What is included in the CAPM course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, the 23 contact hours PMI requires, practice questions, mock exams, learner support and a course completion certificate. The PMI exam fee is not included.

How much is the CAPM exam fee?

PMI bills the CAPM exam fee in US dollars, around USD 225 for members and USD 300 for non-members; confirm current fees on pmi.org. PMI membership (about USD 139 per year) reduces the exam cost and gives free access to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

What is the format of the CAPM exam?

The CAPM exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023. It is delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the CAPM exam and how long is it?

The CAPM exam has 150 questions and you have three hours (180 minutes) to complete it. Questions are multiple choice in single-answer and multiple-answer formats.

What does the CAPM exam cover?

The exam covers four domains from the 2023 ECO: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%).

Is there a fixed passing score for CAPM?

No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with performance feedback across the four CAPM domains, so aim for broad mastery of all four.

What happens if I do not pass, can I retake it?

Yes. PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. A re-examination fee applies to the second and third attempts; confirm current amounts on pmi.org.

What will I learn in the CAPM training?

You will learn the four CAPM domains: project management fundamentals, predictive plan-based methodologies, agile frameworks and business analysis, aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition. The course also covers stakeholders, communication and exam technique.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. CAPM is designed for beginners and those new to project management. No prior project experience is needed, and the training builds the fundamentals step by step from the ground up.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the 23 contact hours of project management education that satisfy the CAPM education prerequisite.
