    What does open book mean for the practitioner exam?

    You may use the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects 7th Edition manual during the exam. However, questions require scenario-based judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient manual navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

    What is the passing score?

    The pass mark is 60 percent, which means at least 42 out of 70 marks. Our scenario practice and mock questions are designed to build the applied judgement needed to reach it.

    Where can I take the exam?

    You can sit it online through PeopleCert OnVUE proctoring, available 24 hours a day, or at a PeopleCert authorised test centre. The exam is usually arranged through an Accredited Training Organisation as part of a training and exam package.

    What if I do not pass the first time?

    Do I need PRINCE2 Foundation before this course?

    Yes, you need PRINCE2 Foundation or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA to sit the practitioner exam. You can attend the training to build knowledge, but the credential requires the prerequisite to be in place before you take the exam.

    What learning resources are provided?

    You receive accredited PeopleCert-aligned courseware, references to the PRINCE2 7 practitioner syllabus and the Managing Successful Projects manual, scenario exercises, practice questions and open-book technique guidance.

    How long is the training?

    The standalone practitioner programme is typically 16 hours, delivered over two full days or across several half-days. It covers all nine syllabus areas through scenario-based learning and open-book exam practice.

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the current PeopleCert practitioner syllabus, including People capability, sustainability, and digital and data management.
