Assessment

Is there an exam for this course?

No. Azure DevOps training is a non-certification course with no exam. Your learning is reinforced through hands-on labs across the one-day programme rather than a formal test, so you focus on applying the tools in realistic scenarios.

Do I receive a certificate after completing the training?

Yes. You receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning once you complete the programme. This recognises attendance and participation; it is not an external certification, as this is a practical skills course.

How is learning assessed during the course?

Learning is assessed informally through hands-on exercises: building pipelines, writing Bicep templates, deploying to AKS and setting up monitoring. The trainer guides you through each task so you can confirm your understanding by doing.

Will I be able to apply these skills at work straight away?

Yes. The course is built around real delivery tasks, so you leave able to configure Azure Repos, author YAML pipelines, deploy infrastructure as code, run containers on AKS and set up Azure Monitor and Application Insights on live projects.

How long is the training?

The programme runs for one day (8 hours), covering DevOps fundamentals, source control and CI, continuous delivery, agile planning and IaC, containers and monitoring, and DevSecOps, with hands-on Azure exercises throughout. An extended two half-day format is also possible.

Yes. Hands-on labs run throughout: you create repositories with branch policies, write YAML CI pipelines, add deployment stages, author and deploy Bicep templates, set up alerts and dashboards, and configure Key Vault-linked variable groups.

Is the content up to date with the current Azure DevOps platform?

Yes. The courseware reflects the current Azure DevOps services and practices, including YAML pipelines, Bicep for infrastructure as code, AKS deployment, Azure Monitor and Application Insights, and DevSecOps with Microsoft Defender for DevOps.

Does the course cover DevSecOps and security?

Yes. You learn the shift-left security approach with Microsoft Defender for DevOps, including secret, dependency and infrastructure-as-code scanning, plus securing pipeline secrets with Azure Key Vault and applying Azure DevOps permissions and branch policies.
