    What is the format of the IASSC Green Belt exam?

    The ICGB exam is a closed-book test of multiple-choice and true or false questions covering all five DMAIC phases. It is delivered online with proctoring on demand, or at a PearsonVUE test centre.

    How many questions are on the Green Belt exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 100 questions, with up to 10 additional unscored questions on some forms, and you have a total allotted time of 3 hours to complete it.

    What score do I need to pass the exam?

    You need a minimum of 385 points out of 550 to pass, with questions spread roughly evenly across the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control phases. Broad mastery across all five phases is the best preparation.

    Do I need prior experience or prerequisites to sit the exam?

    No. There are no formal prerequisites for the Green Belt exam. Training and real-world experience are recommended but not mandatory, so beginners can prepare and certify with structured study.

    What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

    You can retake the exam by purchasing another voucher. Our training includes practice questions and mock assessments to build your readiness, and our team can guide you on revision and rebooking so you go in well prepared.

    What topics does the Green Belt training cover?

    The training covers all five DMAIC phases: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control. You learn core statistics, hypothesis testing, regression, designed experiments, statistical process control and Lean tools such as 5S, value stream mapping and Poka-Yoke.

    How many training hours does the programme include?

    The programme provides 32 hours of instructor-led training. It can be scheduled in flexible formats, such as intensive full days or extended part-day sessions, to fit working professionals and teams.

    Are practice questions and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock assessments aligned to the 100-question, 3-hour exam format, so you can identify weak areas and build confidence before exam day.

    Do I need a statistics background to follow the course?

    No. The course builds statistical concepts from the ground up, moving from basic statistics to hypothesis testing and regression at a practitioner level. Beginners are supported with worked examples and practice throughout.

    Is the courseware aligned to the latest Body of Knowledge?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current IASSC Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge, which is structured around the five DMAIC phases tested in the ICGB exam.
