    Course Content

    What topics does the Lean Manufacturing Training cover?

    The course covers the Toyota Production System and five Lean principles, the eight wastes (DOWNTIME), value stream mapping, 5S and visual management, pull systems and kanban, JIT, TPM and OEE, standard work, SMED, heijunka, poka yoke and building a Lean culture.

    How long is the training and how is it structured?

    The programme runs for one day (8 hours), covering six modules with concept explanations, real manufacturing case studies and hands-on Lean tool exercises throughout. A half-day format across two sessions is also available.

    Are there hands-on exercises included?

    Yes. You take part in waste walks, value stream data collection, a 5S workplace assessment, an OEE calculation exercise, kanban quantity calculation and standard work observation, so you practise every core tool during the session.

    Is the course only for automotive manufacturing?

    No. While Lean is strong in automotive, the tools apply across electronics, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, consumer goods and industrial equipment, and even to logistics and service operations.

    What materials will I receive?

    You receive structured learning materials covering all six modules, exercise templates and reference guides for the Lean tools, plus a course completion record from Invensis Learning on finishing the programme.
