    Your Istanbul Career Transformation

Your Career Before and After the Risk Credential

The Shift Certified Risk Leaders Make in Istanbul

Istanbul's project market is expanding with reconstruction, infrastructure and financial-sector investment, and employers increasingly separate certified risk specialists from generalists. Here is which side of that line you want to be on.

How to Get PMI-RMP Certified in IstanbulStep-by-Step Certification Process

The PMI-RMP certification path in Istanbul is a pure exam track: once your PMI application is approved, you proceed directly to the 115-question, 150-minute exam administered through Pearson VUE , no peer-panel review is required. From initial training to exam day typically takes 6-10 weeks, including application processing.

    Step 1: Confirm PMI-RMP Eligibility

Verify you meet one of the three eligibility sets. Set A: high school or secondary school diploma (or global equivalent) + 36 months / 3 years of project risk management experience within the last 5 years + 40 hours of project risk management education. Set B: bachelor's degree or higher (or global equivalent) + 24 months / 2 years of project risk management experience within the last 5 years + 30 hours of project risk management education. Set C: bachelor's degree or higher from a GAC-accredited program + 12 months / 1 year of project risk management experience within the past 5 years + 30 hours of project risk management education. Education hours must be in project risk management topics specifically.

Step 2: Enroll in a Learning Program

Choose a learning format that aligns with your schedule and goals, such as a PMI-RMP bootcamp, live virtual sessions, self-paced learning, or corporate group training. Enrollment provides access to PMI-aligned courseware, practice assessments, and expert-led guidance.

Step 3: Register on the PMI Candidate Portal

Create or sign in to your PMI account at pmi.org. PMI membership (~$139/year) is optional but reduces the PMI-RMP exam fee from ~$670 to ~$520 and gives access to the PMI Risk Management Practice Guide and the PMI Standard for Risk Management.

Step 4: Submit the PMI-RMP Application to PMI

Submit your application via the PMI candidate portal: document your project risk management experience, list your 30 or 40 contact hours, and pay the application/exam fee (~$520 PMI member or ~$670 non-member). PMI typically processes applications within 5-10 business days. Unlike PfMP, no peer-panel review is required.

Step 5: Sit the 115-Question PMI-RMP Exam via Pearson VUE

Once approved, you receive a one-year exam eligibility window. Book your PMI-RMP exam through Pearson VUE , online proctored from your home or office in Istanbul, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. The exam is 115 multiple-choice and scenario questions over 150 minutes, covering all five risk management domains.

Step 6: Earn the PMI-RMP Credential and Plan CCR Renewal

On passing, PMI issues your PMI-RMP digital badge and certificate. The credential is valid for three years; renew via PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) programme by earning 30 PDUs in risk-relevant content across the 3-year cycle.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management. It recognises your ability to identify, assess, respond to and monitor project risks. It suits risk specialists, senior project managers, PMO analysts and consultants who focus on risk across projects and programmes.

    General

What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management. It recognises your ability to identify, assess, respond to and monitor project risks. It suits risk specialists, senior project managers, PMO analysts and consultants who focus on risk across projects and programmes.

Is the PMI-RMP worth it for professionals in Istanbul?

Yes. Project risk skills are in demand across Istanbul's construction, banking and energy sectors, where risk manager roles average around 1.94 million lira a year and senior roles reach about 2.45 million. As a dedicated PMI risk credential, the PMI-RMP helps you stand out and command stronger bands.

Is a PMP required before taking the PMI-RMP?

No. The PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your risk management experience and education. Many holders do carry both, as the credentials are highly complementary, but the PMI-RMP stands on its own.

How does the PMI-RMP differ from the PMP?

The PMP is a broad project management credential covering risk as one of many areas. The PMI-RMP specialises entirely in project risk: strategy, identification, analysis, response and monitoring. It signals advanced, focused risk expertise rather than general project management.

How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 professional development units (PDUs) in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements cycle, reported through PMI's system.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMI-RMP course fee and how do I pay?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, 32 contact hours and learner support, plus a course completion certificate. We accept major cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Request a quote for options in Istanbul.

How much does PMI-RMP training cost in Istanbul?

Training fees vary by format and schedule, so pricing is available on request. Live online, classroom and corporate options are quoted separately. The PMI exam fee is billed by PMI in USD and is not part of the training fee. Talk to a learning advisor for current pricing.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PMI-RMP exam fee separately in USD. For reference, it is around USD 520 for PMI members and USD 670 for non-members, and PMI membership can reduce the exam cost. Verify current fees on pmi.org before applying.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project teams, risk functions and PMOs. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote for your organisation.

What payment methods and instalment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What happens if I do not pass the exam first time?

You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, so a first-time miss is not the end of the road. Our practice questions, mock exams and trainer guidance are designed to build readiness. Reexamination fees apply to later attempts; confirm current amounts on pmi.org.

How many questions are on the PMI-RMP exam and how long is it?

The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions and lasts 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is closed book, using single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats, delivered via Pearson VUE online proctoring or at a test centre.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

The exam covers five domains per the ECO effective January 2022: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis, with domain-level feedback reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement. Aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

Where can I take the PMI-RMP exam?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctored system from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or Pearson VUE within your one-year eligibility window.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take this training?

Anyone can attend the training. To sit the exam, PMI requires project risk management experience and education under one of three sets, for example 24 months of risk experience plus 30 hours of education for degree holders. Our 32 contact hours satisfy that education requirement.

What topics are covered in the PMI-RMP training?

The training covers the five ECO domains: Risk Strategy and Planning, Risk Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Response, and Monitor and Close Risks. It includes qualitative and quantitative techniques such as Monte Carlo simulation, decision trees and expected monetary value, plus exam strategy.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PMI-RMP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022 and the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management, covering predictive, agile and hybrid risk approaches.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the 115-question format across all five domains, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness before you sit the exam.

Will I receive a certificate of completion and contact hours?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate and 32 contact hours, which satisfy the 30-hour risk education requirement for degree-holding PMI-RMP applicants.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website and choose an upcoming live online, classroom or self-paced batch. Complete payment to receive schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming schedules or talk to a learning advisor to pick a start date.

What are the eligibility requirements to sit the exam?

PMI offers three eligibility sets. Degree holders need 24 months of project risk experience within the last five years plus 30 hours of risk education; secondary-diploma holders need 36 months plus 40 hours. Experience must be specific to project risk, not general project management.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom sessions, self-paced e-learning and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans allow you to attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange a change that works for you.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back guarantee. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
