What Is Driving Demand for PRINCE2 Skills in Taipei

Governance Gaps in Fast-Scaling Tech Firms

Taipei's semiconductor and ICT firms run many concurrent projects, but delivery often outpaces structured governance. PRINCE2 gives teams the principles and processes to control work at scale.

    PRINCE2 builds structured governance skill

    Shortage of Structured Delivery Talent

Taiwan's tech sector is estimated to need around 193,000 extra high-skilled workers in 2026, yet method-fluent project talent is scarce. A recognised credential helps you fill that gap.

PRINCE2 makes certified professionals stand out

    Cross-Border Project Complexity

Multinational teams in Taipei coordinate across regions and suppliers. PRINCE2 offers a shared, globally recognised approach that keeps distributed projects aligned and controlled.

PRINCE2 provides a common global method

Pressure to Deliver AI and Digital Programmes

Boards fund AI, cloud and transformation programmes, but weak control causes value leakage. PRINCE2 practitioners keep delivery tied to business justification stage by stage.

PRINCE2 builds prioritisation and control skill

    Rising Risk and Compliance Demands

Finance, government and manufacturing projects face tighter risk and quality expectations. PRINCE2 embeds risk, quality and issue practices that stand up to scrutiny.

PRINCE2 strengthens risk and quality practice

    Bridging Method and People Skills

Structured method alone does not deliver projects. The PRINCE2 7th Edition People capability adds leadership, stakeholder engagement and team skills that employers now expect.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a combined project management credential from AXELOS, examined by PeopleCert. Foundation confirms you understand the PRINCE2 method, and Practitioner confirms you can apply and tailor it to real projects. It is based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023).

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification?

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a combined project management credential from AXELOS, examined by PeopleCert. Foundation confirms you understand the PRINCE2 method, and Practitioner confirms you can apply and tailor it to real projects. It is based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023).

Is PRINCE2 certification worth it for professionals in Taipei?

Yes. PRINCE2 is a globally recognised method valued by multinational employers in Taipei across semiconductors, ICT, finance and government. It signals structured, controlled delivery skill and helps you compete for project manager and PMO roles as Taiwan scales AI and digital transformation.

Who should take the PRINCE2 combined course?

The combined course suits aspiring and practising project managers, project coordinators, and team members working in PRINCE2 environments. It fits both those new to the method and experienced professionals formalising their delivery experience with a recognised credential.

What is new in PRINCE2 7 compared with PRINCE2 6?

The PRINCE2 7th Edition introduces the People capability as a core element, renames Themes to Practices, incorporates commercial management, and integrates agile and sustainability considerations. It keeps the seven principles and seven processes while updating management products.

How long is the PRINCE2 certification valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points per cycle, and Practitioner can be renewed by re-taking the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher PRINCE2 qualification.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in Taipei?

Training fees vary by format, whether live online, classroom or corporate, and are available on request. The PeopleCert exam fees for Foundation and Practitioner are billed separately by PeopleCert and are not part of the training fee. Request a quote for current pricing.

What is included in the PRINCE2 course fee?

The training fee typically includes PRINCE2 7 aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, revision support and learner support. Exam vouchers may be bundled depending on the package. Talk to a learning advisor to confirm what your chosen plan includes.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam fees may be bundled with training or purchased separately through PeopleCert, depending on the package you choose. PeopleCert prices vary by region and channel. Request a quote and we will confirm the current training and exam options for you.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing for PRINCE2 training?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for delivery teams, PMOs and cross-functional groups in Taipei. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes and is closed book. The pass mark is 60 per cent, which is 36 out of 60. It tests knowledge and comprehension of the PRINCE2 method and has no formal prerequisites.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, over 150 minutes, and is open book with the PRINCE2 manual permitted. The pass mark is 60 per cent, which is 42 out of 70. It tests applying and tailoring PRINCE2 in project scenarios.

What are the prerequisites for the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam requires PRINCE2 Foundation or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or an IPMA level qualification. Foundation itself has no prerequisites, so the combined course lets you take both exams in sequence.

Where and how do I sit the PRINCE2 exams?

Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online through the OnVUE proctored system available 24/7 or at an authorised test centre. They are usually arranged as part of your training package. Ask a learning advisor to help you schedule them.

What happens if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can re-sit a PeopleCert exam under its current re-sit policy. Our training includes mock exams, practice questions and technique so you are well prepared. Selected plans include revision or retake support, so ask about the options for your enrolment.

    Course Content

What topics does the PRINCE2 course cover?

The course covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices (business case, organising, plans, quality, risk, issues and progress) and the seven processes from Starting Up to Closing a Project, plus tailoring and exam preparation.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No prior experience is required for Foundation, so beginners are welcome. The training builds from core concepts to applied practice, and the trainer supports you through the Practitioner-level scenarios, so professionals at different stages can follow the programme.

What learning resources and materials are provided?

You receive PRINCE2 7 aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, revision aids and references to the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual. Materials support both the closed-book Foundation exam and the open-book Practitioner exam.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PRINCE2 edition?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the PeopleCert PRINCE2 7 Foundation and Practitioner syllabuses, so you study the current method, including the People capability and the practices.

Will I receive a certificate of completion after the training?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate. Your official PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner credentials and digital badges are issued by PeopleCert once you pass each exam.

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.
