    Is there an exam at the end of DFSS training?

    No. Design for Six Sigma training is a non-certification course with no exam. Learning is reinforced through hands-on tool exercises, case-study work and discussion during the one-day programme.

    Do I receive a certification after the training?

    No external certification is awarded, because DFSS has no governing body or exam. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning that recognises the practical DFSS skills you have built.

    How is my learning reinforced during the course?

    Through practical exercises applied to realistic design scenarios: capturing Voice of the Customer, flowing needs down to CTQs, building a QFD House of Quality, running a Pugh concept selection and completing a Design FMEA worksheet.

    What will I be able to do after completing the training?

    You will be able to run a design project through DMADV, capture and classify customer needs, translate them into measurable CTQs, build a QFD matrix, select concepts with the Pugh matrix, conduct a Design FMEA, apply robust design and plan design verification and validation.

    Does DFSS lead to a formal accredited credential?

    No. DFSS is a vendor-neutral methodology with no accrediting body, so the course builds job-ready skills rather than preparing you for an exam or credential. The tools you learn are immediately applicable to real product and process design.

    Course Content

    What topics are covered in DFSS training?

    The course covers DFSS foundations and the DMADV roadmap, the Define phase (VOC, Kano, project charter), Measure (CTQ flow-down and QFD), Analyse (concept generation, Pugh matrix, Design FMEA), Design (robust design, P-diagram, DFMA) and Verify (design verification, validation, scorecard and transfer).

    What tools will I practise during the course?

    You practise Voice of the Customer analysis, the Kano model, CTQ flow-down, Quality Function Deployment, the Pugh concept-selection matrix, Design FMEA with RPN scoring, the P-diagram and robust design, plus design verification and validation methods.

    How long is the DFSS training?

    The programme runs for one day, totalling eight hours. It can be delivered as a single full day or as two half-days, and covers all six DMADV phases with hands-on exercises throughout.

    Are there hands-on exercises in the course?

    Yes. Practical exercises run throughout the day, from VOC-to-CTQ flow-down and building a House of Quality to running a Pugh selection and completing a Design FMEA, all applied to realistic product and process design scenarios.

    Is the training relevant to my industry in Ukraine?
