Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMP (Project Management Professional) is PMI's flagship credential and the global gold standard for project managers. It suits experienced project managers, team leads and delivery professionals in the Bahamas who want to validate their ability to lead predictive, agile and hybrid projects.

    General

What is the PMP certification and who is it for?

The PMP (Project Management Professional) is PMI's flagship credential and the global gold standard for project managers. It suits experienced project managers, team leads and delivery professionals in the Bahamas who want to validate their ability to lead predictive, agile and hybrid projects.

Is the PMP worth it for professionals in the Bahamas?

Yes. PMP-certified project managers typically earn more and are prioritised for senior roles. In the Bahamas, employers in tourism, banking, construction and IT increasingly expect PMI-aligned skills, so the credential is a strong career investment.

Which standard is the PMP based on?

The current PMP is based on the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the PMP Examination Content Outline, covering predictive, agile and hybrid approaches. Invensis Learning's courseware is aligned to this edition.

What are the prerequisites for the PMP?

There are two paths: a four-year degree plus 36 months leading projects, or a secondary school diploma plus 60 months leading projects. Both paths require 35 contact hours of project management education, which this training provides.

How long is the PMP certification valid?

The PMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year cycle through PMI's continuing certification requirements programme.

Is the PMP recognised in the Bahamas?

Yes. The PMP is recognised in more than 200 countries, including the Bahamas, and is valued by employers across tourism, financial services, construction and IT that deliver complex projects.

    Pricing

How much does PMP training cost in the Bahamas?

PMP training fees vary by format, from self-paced e-learning to live instructor-led sessions. The PMI exam fee is billed separately. Request a quote or talk to a learning advisor for current pricing and group rates.

What is included in the PMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, the 35 contact hours, application guidance and learner support, plus a course completion certificate. Ask a learning advisor for full inclusions.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PMP exam fee separately in USD. For reference it is around USD 405 for PMI members and USD 555 for non-members, though prices vary by region, so confirm current fees at pmi.org.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams and PMOs in the Bahamas. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How many questions are on the PMP exam and how long is it?

The PMP exam has 180 questions and lasts 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes), including two 10-minute scheduled breaks. It uses several formats, such as multiple choice, matching and hotspot questions.

What does the PMP exam cover?

The exam is based on the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the PMP Examination Content Outline, spanning predictive, agile and hybrid delivery, business analysis and stakeholder engagement. About half the content reflects agile or hybrid approaches.

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis and reported by domain as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all areas.

Where can I take the PMP exam in the Bahamas?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website within your one-year eligibility period.

What if I do not pass the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our exam preparation and mock tests are designed to help you pass with confidence.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take the training?

Anyone can enrol in the training. To sit the PMP exam, PMI requires project leadership experience and 35 contact hours of education, which this programme provides. Our trainers support learners at every level.

What topics does the PMP training cover?

The training covers the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition areas: project fundamentals, predictive methodologies, agile frameworks, business analysis and strategic management, and stakeholder engagement and communication.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes that mirror the real exam, helping you identify weak areas and build readiness.

Does the training provide the 35 contact hours I need?

Yes. Completing the instructor-led programme provides the 35 contact hours of project management education that PMI requires before you can apply for the PMP exam.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMP exam?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the current PMP Examination Content Outline, so you prepare for the exam exactly as it is delivered today.
