Is there an exam for this course?

No. Project Management Fundamentals is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through lectures, interactive discussions, hands-on exercises and retrospective sessions rather than a formal test.

How is my learning assessed?

There is no formal assessment or certification exam. You apply concepts through practical exercises and discussions during the programme, which reinforce the fundamentals and help you use them at work.

What will I receive on completing the course?

On completing the programme you receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning that recognises your learning achievement. The skills you gain are immediately applicable and do not expire.

Does this course lead to a certification?

Not directly. It is a foundation-level skills course, not a certification. However, it builds a strong base for pursuing further certifications such as CAPM, PMP or PRINCE2 when you are ready.

What topics does the Project Management Fundamentals syllabus cover?

The syllabus spans five modules: project management concepts, project influences, the role of the project manager, the full project management cycle, and an Agile projects overview. Together they cover the lifecycle from initiation to closure.

What skills will I be able to use at work?

You will be able to plan scope, schedule, cost and resources, manage quality, risk and stakeholders, run a project through monitoring and control to closure, and apply predictive, Agile or business-analysis approaches as the work requires.

Can a complete beginner take this course?

Yes. The course is designed to be accessible with no prerequisites. It teaches project management from first principles, so beginners and career changers can follow it comfortably while experienced staff refresh their fundamentals.

How long is the training and how is it structured?

The programme runs over 2 days (16 hours), covering the five-module syllabus through lectures, interactive discussions, hands-on exercises and retrospective sessions. It can also be arranged as extended half-day sessions for teams.

Does the course cover Agile as well as traditional methods?

Yes. Alongside predictive (plan-based) project management, the course includes an Agile projects overview covering Agile release planning and the Scrum process in brief, plus business-analysis frameworks, so you understand when each approach fits.
