Complete the 4-day PeopleCert-accredited training, sit the Foundation exam (closed book), then the Practitioner exam (open book to the official manual).     What is the format of the PRINCE2 Agile Foundation exam?

    The Foundation exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and lasts 60 minutes. It is closed book, and the pass mark is 60 percent, which is 24 out of 40 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension of PRINCE2 Agile at awareness level.

    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam has 50 scenario-based questions and lasts 150 minutes. It is open book, with the PRINCE2 Agile publication permitted, and the pass mark is 60 percent, which is 30 out of 50 correct. It tests your ability to apply and tailor the method.

    What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

    You may use the PRINCE2 Agile publication during the Practitioner exam. However, questions require scenario-based analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Both efficient navigation of the publication and deep method knowledge are needed.

    Are there prerequisites for the two exams?

    PRINCE2 Agile Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. For PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner you need PRINCE2 Agile Foundation, PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent. In the combined programme you take Foundation first, then Practitioner.

    What topics does the PRINCE2 Agile training cover?

    Foundation covers the agile mindset, blending agile with PRINCE2, stakeholder engagement, agile leadership, risk and change, progress tracking, roles, scalable agility and value-driven thinking. Practitioner covers tailoring, guiding delivery, managing by stages and applying agile techniques in scenarios.

    Do I need prior PRINCE2 or agile experience to start?

    No. Foundation is beginner-friendly with no prerequisites, so you can start even if PRINCE2 or agile is new to you. Prior familiarity with Scrum or Kanban helps but is not required. The training builds from the fundamentals up to Practitioner-level application.

    Which agile frameworks are covered?

    The training covers Scrum as the primary framework, plus Kanban, Lean Startup and Scrumban, along with awareness of scaling approaches. You learn how each fits within PRINCE2 governance, so you can choose and tailor the right delivery approach for a project.
