What Is the CAPM Certification and Who Is It For?Your Entry Point into Project Delivery

The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is the Project Management Institute's entry-level credential, and it proves you understand how projects are planned, executed, and delivered before you have ever led one. For students, graduates, and career changers in Lithuania, it is the quickest recognised way to show employers that you already speak the language of project delivery. The exam follows PMI's CAPM Examination Content Outline effective January 2023 and is grounded in the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the Agile Practice Guide. Four domains are tested: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%). You answer 150 multiple-choice questions in 3 hours, either online through Pearson VUE OnVUE or at a test centre. Eligibility is refreshingly simple: a secondary school diploma or global equivalent, plus 23 hours of project management education. No work experience is required, and our 24-hour instructor-led programme covers that education requirement in full. Begin your project management journey with Invensis Learning.

Skills You Will Take Away from This ProgrammeBuilt Around the Four Exam Domains

You will learn how projects are planned, delivered, measured, and closed, across predictive, agile, and hybrid approaches. The 24-hour instructor-led programme is built around the four exam domains of the 2023 Examination Content Outline and the guidance in the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, so what you study is what the exam and the workplace both expect.

Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts

Skills covered in the CAPM start here. You will distinguish projects, programmes, and portfolios, work through project life cycles and delivery approaches, explain the roles of sponsor, manager, and team, and apply the PMI project management principles that underpin every other domain. This is the largest domain of the exam, at 36%.

    Predictive Plan-Based Delivery

You will move a project through the five process groups, from initiating to closing, and manage scope with a work breakdown structure, schedule with critical path method, cost with estimation and budgeting, plus quality, resources, communications, risk, and procurement. This domain carries 17% of the exam.

    Agile Frameworks and Methodologies

You will apply the Agile Manifesto in practice, run the Scrum roles, events, and artefacts, use Kanban boards and WIP limits, and work with backlogs, user stories, story points, velocity, and burndown charts. You will also recognise when a hybrid approach fits better than a pure one. This domain carries 20%.

    Business Analysis Frameworks

You will elicit and document requirements through interviews, workshops, and prototyping, run needs assessments with gap and root cause analysis, maintain requirements traceability, and evaluate solution options against acceptance criteria. At 27% of the exam, this is a heavily weighted and highly employable skill set.

    Performance Measurement and Reporting

You will work with baselines and earned value management terminology, including planned value, earned value, actual cost, schedule and cost variance, SPI, and CPI, then turn those numbers into status reports and dashboards that stakeholders can actually act on.

Exam Readiness for the 150-Question Paper

You will practise against questions written to the CAPM Examination Content Outline, learn how to pace 150 multiple-choice items across 3 hours, and get guidance on documenting your 23 hours of project management education for the PMI application.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Yes, because it is the fastest recognised way to prove project knowledge before you have led a project. Lithuania's 105 business services and ICT centres employ around 26,000 specialists and most plan further growth in 2026, so coordinator and analyst roles keep opening. Project managers here earn a median of roughly EUR 2,810 gross a month, which shows the path ahead.

    General

Is the CAPM worth it for someone starting out in Lithuania?

Yes, because it is the fastest recognised way to prove project knowledge before you have led a project. Lithuania's 105 business services and ICT centres employ around 26,000 specialists and most plan further growth in 2026, so coordinator and analyst roles keep opening. Project managers here earn a median of roughly EUR 2,810 gross a month, which shows the path ahead.

    What is the CAPM certification?

The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is the Project Management Institute's entry-level credential. It validates your understanding of project management terminology, processes, and frameworks across predictive, agile, and hybrid delivery, and it is designed for people with limited or no project management experience.

    Who should take this course?

Students, recent graduates, career changers, and project team members who support delivery without yet leading it. It also suits project-adjacent professionals such as business analysts, PMO analysts, and quality coordinators who want their project knowledge formally validated.

How long is the certification valid and how do I renew it?

The credential is valid for 3 years. Renewal means retaking and passing the exam within that cycle. Unlike PMP and other PMI credentials, this one is not renewed by accumulating PDUs.

Is the credential recognised by employers in Lithuania?

Yes. It is a PMI credential, recognised through PMI's network across more than 200 countries, and Lithuanian employers in fintech, global business services, ICT, energy, and infrastructure all recognise it as a credible signal of foundational project knowledge.

How does this compare with the PMP certification?

This is the entry-level credential and needs only 23 hours of project management education with no work experience. PMP is the advanced credential and requires 36 to 60 months of leading projects plus 35 contact hours. Most people earn this one first and build towards PMP as experience accumulates.

    Pricing

What is included in the training fee?

The fee covers 24 hours of instructor-led training that fully meets the 23-hour education prerequisite, courseware aligned to the Examination Content Outline and the PMBOK Guide, industry case studies, practice questions, mock exams, and guidance on the PMI application. Training in Lithuania is quoted in EUR and varies by format. Request a quote for current pricing.

How much does the training cost in Lithuania?

Pricing is quoted in EUR and depends on the delivery format you choose, whether live virtual, onsite, or one-to-one. Talk to a learning advisor for a current quote for your preferred cohort.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the course price?

The exam is purchased separately through PMI, which bills in USD and applies different rates to members and non-members. PMI membership reduces the exam price and includes access to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the Agile Practice Guide. Confirm current fees at pmi.org before you apply.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. Group pricing is available for teams, with customised schedules and onsite delivery in Vilnius, Kaunas, or Klaipeda. Ask about corporate pricing and we will put together a proposal for your cohort size.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Organisations can be invoiced directly for group bookings. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What happens if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You get up to 3 attempts within the 1-year eligibility window that begins when PMI approves your application, so a first-attempt miss is not the end of the road. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our practice questions and mock exams are designed to make the first attempt count.

What is the CAPM exam format?

It is a closed-book exam of 150 multiple-choice questions with a 3-hour time limit. Both single-answer and multiple-answer question formats appear. You can sit it online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What does the CAPM exam cover?

Four domains from the Examination Content Outline effective January 2023: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%). The content is grounded in the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the Agile Practice Guide.

Is there a fixed passing score?

No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a published percentage. Results come back as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target, or Needs Improvement, so aim for solid coverage of all four domains.

What are the eligibility requirements for the exam?

A secondary degree, such as a high school diploma or global equivalent, plus at least 23 hours of project management education completed before the exam. No project work experience is required. Our 24-hour programme satisfies the education requirement in full.

How do I apply for and book the exam?

Create a PMI account, submit the online application documenting your education, and wait for approval, which typically takes a few business days when the application is not audited. Once approved, pay the exam fee and schedule through Pearson VUE within your 1-year eligibility window.

    Course Content

Can a complete beginner take this course?

Yes. This is an entry-level credential built for people with little or no project experience, and the course assumes no prior knowledge. Trainers work through concepts from first principles, using case studies and practice questions so you build confidence before exam day.

What topics does the training cover?

The four exam domains: project management fundamentals, predictive plan-based delivery including scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and procurement, agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean and XP, and business analysis frameworks covering requirements and solution evaluation. Performance measurement and earned value are covered throughout.

How many training hours are there and how are they scheduled?

The programme runs for 24 hours in total. You can take it as 3 full days at 8 hours a day, 4 days at 6 hours, or 6 half days at 4 hours, depending on the cohort you join and your availability.

Which edition of the PMBOK Guide is the course aligned to?

The courseware is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the Agile Practice Guide, and mapped to PMI's Examination Content Outline effective January 2023. That is the same basis PMI uses to write the exam.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. You get practice questions written to the Examination Content Outline and mock exams matched to the 150-question, 3-hour format, so you can pace yourself and identify weak domains before the real thing.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol online and join the next available cohort, with live virtual sessions running regularly for learners in the Baltic time zone. Choose your format, complete payment, and you receive schedules, courseware, and learning resources straight away. Talk to a learning advisor to find the batch that fits your calendar.

What training formats are available in Lithuania?

Live virtual instructor-led training online, corporate onsite training at your premises in Vilnius, Kaunas, or Klaipeda, and focused one-to-one training with a customised schedule.

Do I need to be a PMI member to enrol?

No. Membership is optional for the training. It does reduce the PMI exam fee and gives you access to the PMBOK Guide and the Agile Practice Guide, so many learners join PMI before they apply for the exam.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

Yes. You can reschedule or move to a later cohort, subject to our published policy. Contact learner support and we will arrange a batch that works for you.

How do I arrange training for my team?

Request corporate training and we will scope a group programme around your team size, sector, and operating hours, delivered onsite or live virtual. Get a group quote for your team and we will confirm dates and pricing.
