What is the format of the Observability Foundation exam?

The exam is an open-book, single-answer multiple-choice paper with 40 questions to be completed in 60 minutes. It is based on the current Observability Foundation exam blueprint and Body of Knowledge published by the DevOps Institute.

What is the passing score for the OBSF exam?

The passing score is 65 percent, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. The course includes mock exams and practice questions to help you reach that standard with confidence.

Are there any prerequisites for the exam?

No. Observability Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. Familiarity with DevOps concepts or IT operations is helpful but not required before you sit the exam.

How is the Observability Foundation exam delivered?

The exam is delivered online with remote proctoring through PeopleCert OnVUE, or at an authorised test centre. You can sit it from home or the office once you feel prepared.

What happens if I do not pass on the first attempt?
