    What is the format of the VeriSM Foundation exam?

    The VeriSM Foundation exam is closed book with 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions. It is based on the EXIN VeriSM Foundation Examination Specification and can be taken through EXIN online proctoring or at an accredited test location.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 questions and you have 60 minutes to complete it. It is delivered in a closed-book, single-answer multiple-choice format.

    What is the passing score for VeriSM Foundation?

    You need 65% to pass, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. Our practice questions and mock assessments help you build confidence across all seven topic areas.

    Are there any prerequisites for the VeriSM Foundation exam?

    No. VeriSM Foundation has no formal prerequisites. It is the entry-level credential in the EXIN VeriSM scheme and is open to everyone, regardless of education, experience or prior service management knowledge.

    Yes. VeriSM Foundation is designed as an entry point and needs no prior service management knowledge. The training builds concepts from the ground up and is accessible to both IT and business professionals.

    How long is the VeriSM Foundation training?

    The programme runs for 16 hours of instruction, typically delivered over two full days or four half-days. This gives enough time to cover all seven topic areas and prepare for the exam.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive accredited courseware aligned to the EXIN VeriSM Foundation Examination Specification, practice questions, mock assessments and topic-wise revision aids to support your preparation across every exam area.

    How does VeriSM differ from ITIL?

    ITIL is a prescriptive service management framework. VeriSM positions ITIL as one of many practices you can use within the management mesh. VeriSM does not tell you which practices to use; it gives you a model to select and combine the right ones for your context. The two are highly complementary.
