Assessment

Is there an exam for this course?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination. Your learning is applied and reinforced through hands-on exercises in the Azure DevOps portal and CLI throughout the day, rather than through a formal test.

Do I receive a certificate after completing the training?

Yes. On completing the programme you receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning. It recognises that you have completed practical Azure DevOps training covering the full delivery lifecycle on Microsoft Azure.

How is my learning assessed?

There is no formal assessment. Instead you apply each concept through live exercises, such as configuring a pipeline, writing a Bicep template or setting up an alert, so you leave able to do the work rather than just describe it.

Will these skills stay relevant?

Yes. The course builds practical capability across the Azure DevOps toolchain and DevOps practices such as CALMS and DORA metrics that underpin how modern teams deliver software. These skills are immediately applicable and do not expire.

What will I be able to do after the training?

Course Content

What does the Azure DevOps syllabus cover?

The syllabus spans six modules: DevOps principles and the Azure DevOps ecosystem, source control and CI, continuous delivery and release pipelines, agile planning and infrastructure as code, containerisation and monitoring, and DevSecOps with test management and continuous improvement.

Is the training hands-on or theory-based?

It is highly hands-on. You follow the trainer through live exercises in the Azure DevOps portal and Azure CLI, building pipelines, deploying containers and configuring monitoring using realistic DevOps scenarios rather than slides alone.

Does the course cover infrastructure as code and containers?

Yes. You learn infrastructure as code with ARM templates and Bicep, and containerised deployment with Docker, Azure Container Registry and Azure Kubernetes Service, including deploying to AKS with Helm and pipelines.

Is security included in the training?

Yes. A dedicated part of the course covers DevSecOps: Microsoft Defender for DevOps, secret and dependency scanning, branch policies as security controls, and Azure Key Vault-linked variable groups so secrets stay protected in pipelines.
