What is the CAPM certification and who is it for?

The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is PMI's entry-level credential covering predictive, agile and hybrid project management. It is designed for students, recent graduates, career changers and project team members who want to prove foundational knowledge. No prior project experience is required.

Do I need work experience to take the CAPM?

No. The CAPM is the PMI credential that requires no project management work experience. You need a secondary school qualification, such as a high school diploma or global equivalent, plus 23 hours of project management education, which this training provides in full.

How long is the CAPM certification valid?

The CAPM is valid for three years from the date of certification. Unlike the PMP, the CAPM is renewed by retaking and passing the CAPM exam within the three-year cycle, not by earning PDUs.

Is the CAPM recognised in Slovenia and internationally?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the CAPM is recognised by employers in Slovenia and across more than 200 countries. It signals a credible understanding of project management fundamentals and a commitment to the profession.

How much does CAPM training cost in Slovenia?

Training fees vary by format and schedule, so the current price is available on request. Your fee includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams and application guidance. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI. Request a quote for the format that suits you.

What is included in the CAPM course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training that meets the 23-hour education requirement, PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, application guidance and learner support, plus a course completion certificate. The exam fee is paid separately to PMI.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the CAPM exam fee separately, for reference around USD 225 for members and USD 300 for non-members under regional pricing. Actual fees vary, so confirm the current amount at pmi.org before applying.

What does the CAPM exam cover?

The CAPM exam covers four domains from the 2023 Examination Content Outline: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%). It is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

How many questions are on the CAPM exam and how long is it?

The CAPM exam has 150 multiple-choice questions and you have three hours (180 minutes) to complete it. It is a closed-book exam delivered through Pearson VUE.

Is there a fixed passing score for the CAPM?

No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage, and results are reported with performance feedback across the four CAPM domains. Focus on broad understanding of all four rather than a single target number.

Where can I take the CAPM exam?

You can take the CAPM exam online through Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI or the Pearson VUE website once your application is approved.

What if I do not pass the CAPM on the first attempt?

You have up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Our training includes practice questions and mock exams to build readiness, and we provide guidance to help you prepare confidently for each attempt.
