Assessment

Is there an exam for the Azure DevOps course?

No. This is a non-certification course with no exam. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Azure DevOps exercises throughout the one-day programme rather than a formal test.

What do I receive on completion?

You receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning, along with practical Azure DevOps skills you can apply at work straight away.

How are my skills assessed during the training?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply each service through practical exercises, such as building a pipeline, writing a Bicep template and configuring an Azure Monitor alert, so you learn by doing.

Will this training prepare me for further Azure learning?

The course focuses on practical, job-ready skills rather than exam preparation. The hands-on experience with Azure DevOps services does build a strong foundation if you choose to pursue further Azure study later.

Do the skills expire or need renewal?

What topics does the Azure DevOps training cover?

The syllabus spans DevOps principles and the Azure DevOps ecosystem, source control with Azure Repos, CI/CD with Azure Pipelines, agile planning with Azure Boards, infrastructure as code with ARM and Bicep, containers with ACR and AKS, and monitoring and DevSecOps with Azure Monitor and Microsoft Defender for DevOps.

What will I be able to do after the course?

You will be able to build a YAML CI pipeline, design a multi-stage release to Azure App Service or AKS, write and deploy a Bicep template, set up Azure Monitor and Application Insights, and integrate security scanning into your pipeline.

Are there hands-on exercises?

Yes. Practical Azure exercises run throughout, including creating a repository with branch policies, writing a build-and-test pipeline, deploying a Bicep template and configuring monitoring, so you practise on the real platform.

Do I need an Azure account for the course?

Yes, you should have access to an Azure subscription and an Azure DevOps organisation (a free tier is available at dev.azure.com). Check with us whether a shared training environment is provided before your session.
