How long is the DevOps Master certification valid?

The DevOps Master certification is valid for life. It does not expire, and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing-education requirement.

Yes. EXIN is an internationally recognised examination body operating in over 165 countries, and DevOps Master is valued by employers worldwide as an advanced DevOps credential for experienced practitioners.

What is the format of the DevOps Master exam?

The EXIN DevOps Master exam is closed book with single-answer multiple-choice questions. It is based on the current EXIN DevOps Master Examination Specification and covers six topic areas across the DevOps lifecycle.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and lasts 90 minutes (1.5 hours). It is delivered online with proctoring or at an EXIN accredited testing location.

What is the passing score for DevOps Master?

The pass mark is 65 per cent, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly.

What topics does the DevOps Master exam cover?

Six topic areas: implementing continuous delivery (20%), designing a DevOps architecture (17%), improving product and process (17%), using Lean management and monitoring (17%), implementing cultural change (17%) and assessing maturity (12%).

Where can I take the EXIN DevOps Master exam?

You can take it online through EXIN's proctored exam system or at an EXIN accredited testing location. It is usually arranged through an accredited training provider as part of a training and exam bundle.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You can re-sit the exam by booking another attempt with EXIN. Our trainers provide mock exams and first-attempt guidance to help you prepare thoroughly. Confirm the current re-sit policy with EXIN.

What will I learn in the DevOps Master training?

You will learn continuous delivery and CI/CD, DevOps and cloud-native architecture, product and process improvement, Lean management and DORA metrics, cultural change, and DevOps maturity assessment, aligned to the current EXIN specification.

Does the course cover DORA metrics and CI/CD?

Yes. The programme covers the four DORA metrics, SLIs, SLOs and error budgets, plus CI/CD pipeline design, test automation, infrastructure as code and deployment strategies such as blue/green and canary releases.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock exams mapped to the EXIN DevOps Master topic areas to help you find weak spots and build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest EXIN syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current EXIN DevOps Master Examination Specification and its six topic areas across the full DevOps lifecycle.

How long is the training programme?

The instructor-led programme runs for 16 hours, usually delivered over two full days or four half-days, plus practice and revision support.
