Skills You Will Build Across the Five PMP Domains
Capabilities That Travel Across Sectors
This programme takes you through every performance domain in the current PMP Examination Content Outline, which is built on the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition. You finish able to plan and control a predictive project, run an agile delivery, tie the work to a business case, engage stakeholders deliberately, and sit the exam with the domain weightings in mind.
Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts
Skills covered in the PMP start here: the principles, life cycle phases, governance checkpoints, roles and value-delivery concepts that apply whether the project is predictive, agile or hybrid. This domain carries 15% of the exam and underpins everything that follows, including PMI's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
Predictive, Plan-Based Delivery
Plan and control a project end to end: charter and stakeholder identification, scope and work breakdown structure, critical path scheduling, resource levelling, budget baselines, quality planning, integrated change control and earned value management. The largest domain at 28% of the exam, and the backbone of infrastructure and engineering work.
Agile Frameworks and Methodologies
Run iterative delivery with confidence: Scrum roles, events and artefacts, Kanban flow and WIP limits, Lean and XP practices, backlog management, story points, velocity, burndown charts and scaling models. Worth 27% of the exam, and the capability Kolkata's delivery centres now expect by default.
Business Analysis and Strategic Management
Connect the project to the business case: needs assessment, requirements elicitation, user stories and acceptance criteria, benefits realisation planning, KPIs and strategic alignment to portfolio objectives. This domain accounts for 18% of the exam and is what moves you from delivering output to delivering value.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
Handle the people side without guesswork: stakeholder identification and power/interest analysis, tailored engagement plans, communication channels and cadence, expectation management, conflict resolution, dashboards and information radiators, and cross-cultural virtual team communication. Worth 12% of the exam.
Exam Readiness and Application Support
Walk in prepared for 180 questions in 240 minutes across multiple-choice, matching, hotspot formats. You practise with scenario-based mock exams, learn time management for the two scheduled breaks, and get help documenting your experience and education hours for the PMI application.
