    What is the format of the Foundation exam?

    The Foundation exam is closed book, with 50 multiple-choice, single-answer questions to be completed in 40 minutes. The pass mark is 50%, meaning 25 out of 50 correct. It is usually taken at the end of Foundation training.

    What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam is open book, with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted. It has five scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each, 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. The pass mark is 50%, or 40 out of 80 marks.

    How many exams are in the combined programme?

    Two separate exams. You sit and pass the Foundation exam first, then the Practitioner exam. Both must be passed to hold both credentials, and the 40-hour programme prepares you for each.

    What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

    You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the scenario-based questions require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and solid method knowledge are both essential.

    What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

    How long is the training and what is the format?

    The combined Foundation and Practitioner programme is 40 hours, delivered as online (live virtual) or classroom sessions and available as corporate group training. Schedules range from intensive full-day formats to extended part-day options.
