Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

It is a globally recognised, two-level qualification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates understanding of change concepts, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real change scenarios.

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a globally recognised, two-level qualification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates understanding of change concepts, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real change scenarios.

Who should take this certification in Chennai?

It suits project managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners, transformation leads, consultants and senior leaders sponsoring change. In Chennai it is especially valuable across IT, GCC, manufacturing, BFSI and consulting employers running large change programmes.

Is the Change Management certification worth it?

Yes. Certified change practitioners are scarce in Chennai relative to project managers, and roles from change manager to transformation lead command strong salary bands. The dual credential proves people-side capability that employers increasingly ask for by name.

What models and frameworks does the syllabus cover?

The syllabus covers individual and organisational change models including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, the McKinsey 7-S Framework, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

Are there prerequisites for the certification?

There are no prerequisites for the Foundation level; it is open to all. To sit the Practitioner exam you must first hold the Change Management Foundation certification, which the combined programme prepares you for.

    Pricing

How much does Change Management training cost in Chennai?

Training fees vary by format, batch and delivery mode, so pricing is available on request in INR. Contact a learning advisor for a current quote and to see upcoming batches for the combined Foundation and Practitioner programme.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes syllabus-aligned courseware, case studies, Foundation and Practitioner mock exams and practice questions, learner support and guidance to clear both exams. Confirm exact inclusions for your chosen plan with our team.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion varies by package and region, so confirm this when you enrol. Where vouchers are not bundled, exam fees are billed separately. Ask a learning advisor for the current details.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, HR teams and transformation offices. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice, single-answer questions to be completed in 40 minutes. It is closed book, and the pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks for 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. It is open book with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted, and the pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams. You sit and pass the Foundation exam first, then the Practitioner exam. Both must be passed to hold both credentials, and the combined programme prepares you for each.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Deep method knowledge and efficient guide navigation are both essential.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can re-sit the exam under the applicable re-sit policy. Our training includes mock exams, practice questions and guidance designed to help you clear both the Foundation and Practitioner exams on the first attempt. Confirm re-sit details with our team.

How and where are the exams delivered?

Both exams are delivered via online proctoring or at an authorised test centre, and are typically taken at the end of each level of training. Your trainer will guide you on scheduling and exam-day preparation.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the training?

The programme covers five areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organisation, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation builds knowledge; Practitioner applies it to scenarios.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. The Foundation level has no prerequisites and starts from core concepts, so beginners are welcome. The training then builds you up to Practitioner-level application, supported by case studies and trainer guidance throughout.

What standard and edition is the course based on?

The training is aligned to the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi, the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) from the Change Management Institute, and the current edition of the Change Management Practitioner Guide.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes Foundation and Practitioner practice questions and mock exams, plus case studies drawn from realistic change scenarios, to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

How long is the combined training?

The combined Foundation and Practitioner programme is delivered as 40 hours of instructor-led training. The number of days depends on the schedule format, such as intensive full-day or extended part-day sessions.

How do I enrol in the course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to get started.
