    What will I learn in the Fundamentals level?

    You will create and configure Scrum, Kanban and business projects, manage the epic, story, task, bug and subtask hierarchy, run sprints and boards, plan releases with Versions, build filters and basic JQL, and read Agile reports like Burndown and Velocity.

    What does the Advanced level cover?

    Advanced covers custom workflow design with conditions, validators and post-functions, permission and screen schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards and gadgets, Jira automation, integrations with Confluence, Bitbucket and CI/CD tools, and Jira administration.

    Is the training hands-on or theory-based?

    It is hands-on throughout. You follow live instructor demonstrations and complete practical exercises in a Jira environment using realistic Agile delivery scenarios, so you build genuine tool fluency rather than just learning concepts.

    Do I need Jira access before the training?

    You are expected to have access to a Jira environment for the hands-on exercises. Jira Cloud offers a free trial, and we can confirm whether a shared training environment is provided for your session. Check with us when you enrol.

    Do I need prior Jira experience to attend?

    No prior Jira experience is needed for Fundamentals, which is designed for beginners. For Advanced, you should have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on Jira experience, as it builds on core skills and project configuration knowledge.

    Assessment

    Is there an exam for JIRA training?

    No. This is a non-certification skills course, so there is no examination at either level. Your learning is reinforced through hands-on Jira exercises and configuration activities carried out throughout the training.

    Do I receive a certificate after the training?

    You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning after completing the programme. No formal certification is awarded by an external body, as this is a practical skills course focused on real, on-the-job Jira capability.

    How is my progress assessed during the course?

    There is no formal assessment. Instead, hands-on exercises, configuration activities and practical scenarios throughout both levels let you build and confirm your Jira proficiency as you go, with the trainer available to guide and clarify.

    Will the skills stay relevant after the course?

    Yes. The skills are immediately applicable and do not expire. Atlassian updates Jira Cloud regularly, but the core concepts you learn, from boards and JQL to workflows and automation, carry directly into current and future versions of the platform.

    What will I be able to do straight after training?

    After Fundamentals you can create projects, manage issues, run sprints and Kanban boards, and read Agile reports. After Advanced you can design workflows and schemes, write advanced JQL, build automation and dashboards, and administer a Jira instance.
