What does the CAPM exam cover?

The CAPM exam covers four domains from the Examination Content Outline effective 2023: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts, Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies, Agile Frameworks and Methodologies, and Business Analysis Frameworks. It is aligned to the PMBOK Guide, Eighth Edition, and the Agile Practice Guide.

How many questions are on the CAPM exam and how long is it?

The CAPM exam has 150 multiple-choice questions and lasts three hours (180 minutes). It is closed book and includes single-answer and multiple-answer question formats.

Is there a fixed passing score for CAPM?

No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with performance feedback across the four CAPM domains, so aim for broad mastery of all four.

Where and how do I take the CAPM exam?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website within your one-year eligibility period.

What if I do not pass the CAPM exam the first time?
