    How is learning reinforced in this QFD course?

    Learning is reinforced through hands-on House of Quality construction exercises, real-world case studies and team discussion rather than a formal test. You build and interpret your own QFD matrices during the day, so you leave able to apply the method at work.

    Will I be able to build a House of Quality myself?

    Yes. The course is built around hands-on practice. You work through capturing the Voice of the Customer, constructing all six rooms of the House of Quality, calculating importance and setting engineering targets using realistic product and service scenarios.

    How long is the QFD training?

    The course runs for one full day of eight hours, or across two half-days totalling the same eight hours. It covers QFD foundations, Voice of the Customer, the House of Quality, HoQ interpretation, four-phase cascading, and QFD in Six Sigma and services.

    Do I receive anything on completion?

    Yes. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning confirming you have finished the QFD training. As a practical skills programme, the real outcome is the ability to run QFD and the House of Quality on live projects.

    You learn to capture and structure the Voice of the Customer, build and interpret the House of Quality, resolve design trade-offs with the correlation roof, prioritise engineering characteristics, and cascade QFD through product, parts, process and production planning.

    The programme covers six areas: QFD principles and business case, Voice of the Customer, building the House of Quality, interpreting the House of Quality, four-phase QFD cascading, and QFD in DFSS, DMAIC, services and case studies.

    Does the course cover the Kano model?

    Yes. You learn to classify customer requirements with the Kano model into must-be, performance and delighter needs, and to organise raw customer input using the affinity diagram before importance weighting.

    Can QFD be applied to services and software?

    Yes. While QFD began in manufacturing, the course shows how to apply it to service design, healthcare, financial services and software, where customer requirements must be translated into delivery standards and test criteria.

    What materials are provided?

    You receive structured courseware, House of Quality templates and worked examples used during the hands-on exercises. These help you apply QFD to your own products and services after the training.
