Do I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning after finishing the one-day programme. This is a record of completion, not a formal Six Sigma certification, as the awareness course does not award a credential.

How is my learning assessed?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, interactive discussions and team exercises throughout the day let you apply Six Sigma concepts to your own work, so you leave able to use the ideas straight away.

Does this qualify me to lead Six Sigma projects?

No. This is an awareness-level course and does not qualify you to lead DMAIC projects. To lead Six Sigma projects, progress to Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Green Belt or Black Belt training, which are the practitioner-level programmes.

What is the next step after this course?

The awareness training is an ideal foundation for Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt training, and complements 7 QC Tools and Minitab Essentials courses. Those who want to become practising Six Sigma professionals usually progress to Yellow Belt or Green Belt next.

What topics does the Six Sigma awareness course cover?

The course covers six areas: Six Sigma history and philosophy, key concepts and terminology, the five DMAIC phases, Six Sigma roles and structure, an awareness-level look at core tools, and Lean Six Sigma in practice, all in one day.

What will I be able to do after the training?

You will understand what Six Sigma is and why it matters, use its vocabulary confidently, follow the five DMAIC phases, recognise the Six Sigma roles, and support improvement project teams. You will also understand Lean Six Sigma as the combined approach.

Can a complete beginner take this course?

Yes. The course is built for a general audience with no assumed background in quality or statistics. Concepts are explained clearly with real-world examples, so beginners and experienced staff alike can follow along.

What is DMAIC and is it covered?

Yes. DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) is the core Six Sigma roadmap for improving existing processes, and the course walks through what each phase delivers, from the project charter and SIPOC to control plans and tollgate reviews.
