    What is the format of the PMI-CP exam?

    The PMI-CP exam has 120 questions and a 230-minute (3 hours 50 minutes) time limit. It is closed book with multiple-choice questions, delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test center.

    What are the four PMI-CP exam domains and their weights?

    Per the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline, the four domains are Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%), and Project Governance (5%). Contracts Management is the largest and most heavily tested.

    What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

    PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score and does not publish a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail, with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all four domains.

    What happens if I do not pass the first time?

    What are the prerequisites for PMI-CP?

    You must complete four mandatory self-paced modules (Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management) and meet one experience set: high school plus 60 months, a bachelor's plus 36 months, or a GAC-accredited degree plus 24 months, all with 35 contact hours of PM education.

    Does this training meet the 35 contact hour requirement?

    The instructor-led program provides 32 contact hours, which is close to but below the 35 contact hours PMI requires. Ask us how supplementary self-study or pre-reading can be credited toward the 35-hour requirement before you apply.

    Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMI-CP ECO?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and the PMBOK Guide, along with construction industry-specific standards and practices referenced by PMI.
