Across five topic areas you learn frameworks such as ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model and McKinsey 7-S. Ideal for project managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners and transformation leaders across Vancouver's technology, healthcare, public sector and financial services organisations, this credential is recognised in over 150 countries. General

Is the Change Management certification worth it in Vancouver?

Yes. Change management is in strong demand across Vancouver's technology, healthcare, public sector and financial services organisations, with average change management pay in BC around C$113,000 and senior roles reaching far higher. Many postings now list a change credential as preferred, so the certification helps you qualify and negotiate.

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a combined, two-level qualification covering the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge of change concepts and models; Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real scenarios. Both are grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute.

    Who should take this certification?

It suits project and programme managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners, consultants and leaders who manage or support organisational change. There are no formal prerequisites for Foundation, so it is open to professionals at any career stage.

What change models does the syllabus cover?

The syllabus covers a broad range of models including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, McKinsey 7-S, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's six principles of influence.

    Is the certification recognised internationally?

Yes. The Change Management qualification is recognised in over 150 countries and is well respected across markets where organisational change is a recognised professional discipline, so it travels well if you move sector, employer or region.

    Pricing

What is included in the training fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across both levels, syllabus-aligned courseware, case studies, practice questions and mock exams for Foundation and Practitioner, and learner support. Exam voucher inclusion is available on request. Speak with a learning advisor for a full quote.

How much does the training cost in Vancouver?

Pricing varies by format and delivery mode, so a tailored quote is best. Request a quote for live virtual, classroom or corporate options, and ask about group pricing if you are training a team.

Are the exam fees included in the price?

Exam fee inclusion varies by package and region. Some bundles include the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others price training and exams separately. Confirm current inclusions with our team before you enrol.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for change teams, PMOs, HR functions and leadership groups. Contact us for a group quote for your team.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Talk to a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions with a single answer each, lasts 40 minutes and is closed book. The pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It is typically taken at the end of Foundation training.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks, for 80 marks in total, and lasts 2.5 hours. It is open book, with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted. The pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

    Are there two separate exams?

Yes. The combined programme leads to two separate exams. You must sit and pass both the Foundation and the Practitioner exams to hold both credentials. Foundation is a prerequisite for Practitioner.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep model knowledge are both essential, and we coach both.

What if I do not pass the first time?

You can resit the exam you did not pass. Our training focuses on first-attempt readiness through mock exams and open-book technique coaching, and our team can guide you on re-sit steps. Confirm current re-sit policy and any fees with us before booking.

    Course Content

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. Foundation has no formal prerequisites and starts from first principles, so beginners and those new to change management can take it. The programme then builds to applied Practitioner level with guided practice, so no prior change experience is required.

What topics are covered in the training?

The training covers five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organization, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management, at knowledge level for Foundation and application level for Practitioner.

How long is the training programme?

The combined Foundation and Practitioner programme is delivered as 40 hours of instructor-led training. The number of days depends on the schedule format you choose, from intensive full-day to extended part-day options.

    What learning resources are provided?

You receive syllabus-aligned courseware, industry-driven case studies, practice questions and mock exams for both levels, plus open-book technique guidance for the Practitioner exam. Materials support both self-study and instructor-led learning.

Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current Change Management Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi and the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK), and draws on the Change Management Practitioner Guide.
