How many exams are there and what are the formats?

There are two separate exams. The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes, closed book. The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each (80 marks total) over 2.5 hours, open book with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted.

What is the passing score for each exam?

Both exams require 50% to pass. That means 25 out of 50 correct on the Foundation exam, and 40 out of 80 marks on the Practitioner exam. You must pass both to hold both credentials.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the Practitioner exam. However, the scenario-based questions require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What happens if I do not pass on the first attempt?
