What Kanban Training Covers and Who It Is ForUntitledYour Route to Pull-Based Flow

Kanban Training in Sweden is a practical, one-day programme that teaches you to manage work as a visual, pull-based flow rather than a push-driven backlog. Kanban began on the Toyota Production System floor, where Taiichi Ohno used signal cards to trigger production only when downstream demand called for it, and was later adapted by David J. Anderson for knowledge work, IT and software teams. The course suits production and operations managers, supply chain and Lean coordinators, Agile coaches, Scrum Masters, and IT and delivery managers across Sweden. You learn both manufacturing Kanban, covering production and withdrawal cards, supermarkets and kanban sizing, and knowledge-work Kanban, covering boards, work in progress limits, lead time, cycle time and the cumulative flow diagram. This is a hands-on skills programme rather than a credential course. You learn through design exercises across the eight-hour day and receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning, ready to apply Kanban to your own workflows straight away.

    Your Sweden Workflow Transformation

Your Team Before and After Kanban

    The Shift This Training Makes

Swedish manufacturing, telecom and software teams are under real pressure to deliver faster with the same people, and the ones that win make work flow. Here is the shift Kanban makes to how your team works.

    Today

Work piles up in long queues with no visible limit, so lead times stretch

    After Kanban

Work in progress is capped, flow is visible, and lead times become predictable

    Today

Overproduction and excess inventory tie up cash on the factory floor

    After Kanban

Pull signals authorise production only on real demand, cutting overproduction and stock

    Today

Teams start more than they finish, and context-switching slows delivery

    After Kanban

WIP limits mean the team finishes work before starting more, lifting throughput

    You complete your Kanban training

    Before

Flow problems are argued from opinion, not evidence

    Now you have

Lead time, cycle time and throughput data show exactly where to improve

    Before

Kanban is treated as a simple to-do board with no limits

    Now you have

You design boards with WIP limits, classes of service and a cumulative flow diagram

    Before

Manufacturing and Agile teams speak different process languages

    Now you have

One pull-based approach spans production lines and software delivery

    Before

Recognition of your process skills stays informal

    Now you have

Practical, applicable Kanban capability valued by Swedish employers

"The gap between busy teams and predictable teams is usually a visible, limited flow of work, and Kanban is how you build it."

The Kanban Skills You Will BuildReady to Apply at Work

The Kanban training builds practical, hands-on capability across both manufacturing pull systems and knowledge-work flow. By the end of the one-day programme you can design, size, run and improve a Kanban system in your own environment.

    Design Pull-Based Production Systems

Build manufacturing Kanban systems using production and withdrawal cards, supermarkets and one-bin and two-bin approaches, so production is authorised only by real downstream demand rather than a forecast.

    Size Kanban Loops with Confidence

Apply the kanban quantity formula and calculate the number of kanban cards from demand, replenishment lead time, safety factor and container size, using takt time to check the system is sized correctly.

    Build and Run Kanban Boards

Design knowledge-work Kanban boards with columns, swimlanes, classes of service and a clear Definition of Done, so the whole team can see the workflow and pull work as capacity allows.

    Set and Manage WIP Limits

Set work in progress limits that stop overloading, force bottlenecks into the open and drive the stop starting, start finishing discipline that shortens lead time without working faster.

Measure Flow with Metrics and the CFD

Measure lead time, cycle time and throughput, apply Little's Law, and read a cumulative flow diagram to spot where work in progress builds up and where to target improvement.

    Implement and Sustain Kanban

Roll out Kanban with the start with what you do now principle, combine it with Scrum as Scrumban where it fits, and sustain the discipline over time in both manufacturing and Agile settings.
