    For Individuals

    For Individuals

Microsoft Project training gives you the practical software skills to plan and control projects properly, not just talk about them. You move from manual tracking to confident, tool-based scheduling that holds up under pressure. Whether you are new to the software or an experienced user ready for resource levelling, Earned Value and programme-level reporting, the training meets you at the right level and builds from there.

If you want to be the person who can build a realistic plan, keep it current and report it clearly, these are the skills employers in Slovenia look for across construction, IT and public-sector projects.

    • Turn task lists into structured, dependency-linked schedules you can defend to stakeholders
    • Spot the critical path and protect the dates that decide your project finish
    • Assign and level resources so no one is silently over-allocated
    • Track actual progress against a baseline and report variance with confidence
    • Build cost and Earned Value views that show whether a project is on budget
    • Create custom reports and dashboards that leaders actually read
    • Manage several projects at once with master projects and shared resource pools
    • Apply new skills the next working day, with no software theory left abstract
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

Microsoft Project group training helps organisations build consistent scheduling and reporting practice across project teams and PMOs. Sessions can be delivered for a single team or several business units at once. For organisations that want plans they can trust and reporting they can compare, team training creates a shared way of working in the software.

If your teams plan in scattered spreadsheets with no common baseline, group training gives them one MS Project method for scheduling, resourcing and tracking, so leaders get comparable, reliable status across the portfolio.

    • Standardise how teams plan, schedule and report across every project
    • Give PMOs a shared Microsoft Project method instead of inconsistent spreadsheets
    • Improve resource visibility and reduce silent over-allocation across teams
    • Strengthen baseline discipline so slippage is caught early
    • Enable consistent, board-ready reporting from real schedule data
    • Upskill whole delivery teams together on your own project data
    • Build in-house scheduling capability that stays after the training ends
    • Deliver training onsite, live virtual or blended around work schedules

Where MS Project Skills Take Your Career in SloveniaRoles, Demand and Pay

Why Slovenian Employers Need Project Scheduling Skills

    Spreadsheet-Bound Scheduling

Many Slovenian teams still plan large projects in spreadsheets, with no critical path, baseline or dependency logic, the exact gap that structured Microsoft Project scheduling closes.

Learn structured scheduling in MS Project

    EU-Funded Programme Pressure

Recovery and Resilience projects worth hundreds of millions in green and digital investment demand tight schedules and clear reporting, raising the value of confident planners.

    Build planning skills employers need

    Infrastructure Complexity

Railway and transport works, backed by over EUR 200m in grants and loans, need dependency management, resource levelling and progress tracking that only proper scheduling tools provide.

    Master dependencies and resource levelling

    Resource Over-Allocation

With skilled staff scarce, teams routinely over-commit the same people across projects. Microsoft Project resource views expose and resolve conflicts before they derail delivery.

    Resolve conflicts with resource views

    Weak Status Reporting

Boards and sponsors want reliable status, not optimistic guesses. Baseline tracking and variance reporting in the software turn raw progress into board-ready insight.

    Turn progress into board-ready insight

    Scattered PMO Practice

As PMOs mature, inconsistent planning methods hold them back. A shared Microsoft Project standard gives teams one reliable way to schedule, resource and report.

    General

What is Microsoft Project training and who is it for?

Microsoft Project training is a practical, hands-on course that teaches you to plan, schedule, resource and track projects using Microsoft Project. It is for project managers, coordinators, planners and PMO professionals in Slovenia who want confident software skills, at Fundamentals or Advanced level.

Is Microsoft Project training worth it in Slovenia?

Yes. Employers across construction, IT, engineering and EU-funded public-sector projects rely on Microsoft Project for scheduling and reporting. Fluency helps you move from coordinator and planner roles into project and programme management, where pay in Slovenia is stronger.

Which version of Microsoft Project does the course use?

The training is delivered on Microsoft Project, available as Project Standard and Project Professional on the desktop and Project Online within Microsoft 365. You should have the software installed and accessible before the session.

Should I take the Fundamentals or Advanced level?

Take Fundamentals (2 days) if you are new to or occasional with the software and want solid scheduling and tracking skills. Take Advanced (3 days) if you already use it and want resource levelling, Earned Value, custom reporting and multi-project management. You can take either level on its own.

Do I need prior experience to start?

No prior Microsoft Project experience is needed for Fundamentals; basic familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office helps. Advanced assumes you have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on experience with the software.

    Pricing

How much does Microsoft Project training cost in Slovenia?

Fees vary by level, delivery format and group size. Pricing for public and corporate sessions is available on request. Contact a learning advisor for a quote tailored to Fundamentals, Advanced or both levels.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee covers instructor-led training across your chosen level, live software exercises using realistic scenarios, learning resources, and a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. Request a quote to confirm what your selected format includes.

Is the Microsoft Project software licence included?

Microsoft Project is a separate product from Microsoft Corporation. You should have a valid licence installed before training. Ask us whether a trial licence is available for your session when you enquire.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with schedules and pricing tailored to your team size and delivery format. Contact us for a group quote for Fundamentals, Advanced or a combined programme.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Assessment

Is there an exam or certification for this course?

No. Microsoft Project training is a non-certification, skills-based course, so there is no formal examination or credential. Learning is reinforced through hands-on software exercises, and you receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning.

How is my learning assessed during the training?

There is no formal assessment. You practise each feature live in Microsoft Project using realistic project scenarios, so you build proficiency by doing. The trainer gives feedback throughout the sessions.

What do I receive after completing the course?

You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning that records the level you completed, Fundamentals or Advanced. The practical skills apply immediately and do not expire.

Will I be able to use Microsoft Project confidently afterwards?

Yes. After Fundamentals you can build schedules, link tasks, assign resources, set baselines and report progress. After Advanced you can level resources, track Earned Value, build custom reports and manage multiple projects.

Do the skills need renewing over time?

No. There is no renewal or maintenance requirement. The Microsoft Project skills you build are yours to apply straight away, and you can return for the Advanced level whenever you are ready.

    Course Content

What topics does the Fundamentals level cover?

Fundamentals covers project setup and calendars, building the work breakdown structure, task dependencies and the critical path, work, material and cost resources, baselines, progress tracking and built-in reports, across 2 days and 16 hours.

What does the Advanced level cover?

Advanced covers task types and advanced scheduling, resource pools and levelling, cost management and Earned Value, custom fields, views and reports, master projects and subprojects, and what-if scenario planning, across 3 days and 24 hours.

    Is the training hands-on?

Yes. Both levels are taught on the software itself. The trainer demonstrates each feature while you follow along in Microsoft Project, building skills through realistic project exercises rather than theory alone.

    What learning resources are provided?

You get structured course materials and practical exercises based on realistic project scenarios, plus trainer guidance throughout. Ask about the specific materials included with your chosen format when you enrol.

How long does the training take?

Fundamentals runs over 2 days (16 hours) and Advanced over 3 days (24 hours). Both are available as full-day or extended half-day formats, and can be taken separately or in sequence.
