    How many questions are on the PMI-CP exam and how long is it?

    The PMI-CP exam has 120 questions and a total time of 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes). It is closed book and uses multiple-choice questions, including single-answer and multiple-answer formats.

    PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score and does not publish a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so aim for broad mastery across all four domains rather than a single target percentage.

    What will I learn in PMI-CP training?

    You will learn to evaluate and administer construction contracts, manage variations, claims and risk, engage owners, communities and regulators, control scope, schedule and budget, and govern projects. The training maps directly to the four PMI-CP exam domains.

    Is the training aligned to the current PMI-CP exam content outline?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-CP Examination Content Outline (ECO) and the PMBOK Guide, so your preparation reflects the four domains and the tasks and enablers that PMI tests on the exam.

    Do I need construction experience to take the training?

    Anyone can enroll in the training. To earn PMI-CP, PMI requires construction project management experience under one of three eligibility sets, plus completion of the four mandatory modules and 35 contact hours of project management education.

    Does the training cover contracts and claims in depth?

    Yes. Contracts Management is the largest domain at 50% of the exam, so the training covers contract types and delivery methods, pre-contract documentation, administration, subcontracts, variations, insurance and bonds, claims and dispute resolution, and closeout.

    What learning materials and practice are included?

    You receive PMI-aligned courseware mapped to the four domains, practice questions and full-length mock exams built for the 120-question format, plus guidance on the application and the four prerequisite modules. Materials support both concept building and exam readiness.

    How do I enroll in PMI-CP training in San Jose?
