Is the PgMP worth it for program managers in San Jose?

What are the prerequisites for the PgMP?

Is a PMP required before the PgMP?

No. The PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their program management experience.

How long is the PgMP valid and how do I renew it?

The PgMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle, with a minimum of 8 PDUs in each area, within every three-year continuing certification requirements cycle.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of program management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. Both the panel review and the written exam must be passed to earn the credential.

What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

PMI permits up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Reexamination fees apply to later attempts. Our prep, mock exams and domain feedback are designed to help you pass on the first try.

Where can I take the PgMP exam?
