What Is the PgMP Certification?UntitledYour Path to Senior Program Leadership in Dallas

The Program Management Professional (PgMP) is PMI's senior credential for professionals who coordinate multiple related projects as a single program to deliver strategic organizational benefits. PgMP certification training in Dallas prepares experienced program managers to lead at that level and to pass PMI's rigorous evaluation. Fewer than 3,000 practitioners worldwide hold the PgMP, which makes it one of the most exclusive certifications in the profession. This program is built around the PgMP Examination Content Outline (ECO) and PMI's Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and covers all five performance domains the exam tests. You learn to align programs to strategy, govern at scale, manage benefits realization, and prepare for both the 170-question exam and the multi-rater panel review. Dallas employers across telecom, aerospace and defense, healthcare, and financial services increasingly separate certified program leaders from the rest. Market Forces Driving PgMP Demand in Dallas

    Silicon Prairie Transformation Load

Dallas tech and telecom leaders such as AT&T, Texas Instruments and Cisco run large digital transformation programs, but many lack a strategy-aligned program governance layer, the exact gap the PgMP is built to close.

PgMP builds strategic alignment and governance skills

    Aerospace and Defense Complexity

Defense primes across the DFW region, including Lockheed Martin, Bell and Raytheon, run complex capability programs under strict governance, demanding program-grade risk aggregation and cross-project coordination at scale.

PgMP builds program risk and coordination skills

Regulated Change in Health and Finance

McKesson, Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase manage regulatory and core-system change programs where weak links between strategy and delivery cause value leakage that program leaders are hired to fix.

PgMP builds benefits and stakeholder skills

    Program Talent Scarcity

DFW's PM pool is deep in PMP project managers but thin in credentialed program managers. The PgMP's advanced eligibility and panel review make holders rare and sought-after.

PgMP makes certified program leaders stand out

    HQ Relocation and PMO Scale-Up

As headquarters relocate to DFW, from Toyota North America to Charles Schwab, enterprises scale their PMOs fast and need senior leaders who can govern many related programs consistently.

    PgMP standardizes program governance

    Capital-Efficiency Pressure

Capital discipline across energy, BFSI and services pushes organizations to prove that program spend delivers strategic benefits, a core PgMP competency in benefits definition and tracking.

    Pricing

What is included in the PgMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams and exam simulator access, downloadable templates, application and panel-review support, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours. Request a quote for current Dallas pricing.

How much does the PgMP training cost in Dallas?

Training pricing varies by format and is available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD: for reference, around USD 800 for PMI members and USD 1,000 for non-members. Verify current fees on PMI.org and ask us for a tailored quote.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PgMP exam fee separately in USD. PMI members typically pay a lower rate than non-members, and individual PMI membership (about USD 139 per year, verify) can reduce the exam cost and provides free access to the Standard for Program Management.

    Exam

What is the format of the PgMP exam?

The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. Questions span five performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance.

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The PgMP exam has 170 questions and a four-hour (240-minute) allotted time. It is delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test center.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of program management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. You must pass both the panel review and the written exam to earn the credential.

What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Results are determined through psychometric analysis and reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback (Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement), so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

What if I do not pass the PgMP exam the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts. Our prep, mock exams and post-training support are designed to help you build readiness before you sit the exam.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the PgMP training?

The training covers the five PgMP performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%), plus PMI application and panel-review guidance and exam strategy.

Can a PMP holder or beginner take this course?

Anyone can attend the training, though the PgMP itself is a senior credential. It suits PMP holders and experienced program managers. An active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three PMI eligibility sets, so you mainly document your program experience.

Is the courseware aligned with the current PgMP standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PgMP Examination Content Outline and PMI's Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, so you study the material the exam actually tests.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The program includes practice questions aligned to the 170-question format, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Will I receive a certificate of completion after training?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the program, which support your ongoing professional development.

How soon can I start and how do I enroll?

What are the eligibility requirements for the PgMP exam?

What training formats are available in Dallas?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, in-person classroom training, self-paced e-learning, and customized corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrollment to another batch?
