Market Forces Driving PgMP Demand in Louisville

    Logistics Programs at Worldport Scale

Louisville anchors UPS Worldport, the world's busiest air cargo hub. Coordinating peak, automation, and network programs demands the program-grade governance PgMP is built to provide.

PgMP builds governance and coordination skills

    Healthcare Transformation Pressure

Humana, Norton Healthcare, and UofL Health run overlapping digital-health and care-delivery programs. Weak program governance leaks value, so certified program leaders are in demand.

PgMP builds benefits and stakeholder skills

    Ford's EV Manufacturing Shift

Ford is retooling the Kentucky Truck Plant and Louisville Assembly for electric vehicles from 2027. Multi-project retooling needs benefits tracking and cross-program coordination.

PgMP builds program life cycle skills

    New Advanced-Manufacturing Investment

Foxconn's $173 million AI-driven factory of the future, announced in December 2025, adds complex build programs that require disciplined governance and stakeholder alignment.

    PgMP builds strategic alignment skills

    Program Talent Scarcity

Louisville is deep in PMP project managers but thin in credentialed program leaders. PgMP's rigorous eligibility and panel review make holders rare and highly valued.

PgMP makes certified leaders stand out

    Capital Discipline and Benefits Focus

Margin and capital pressure push employers to prioritize high-value work and prove benefits. Program managers who govern the mix and cut waste are increasingly essential.

Yes. PgMP is a globally recognized PMI credential valued by employers in Louisville and worldwide, including logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, and business-services organizations that run large programs. Fewer than 3,000 practitioners hold it, which makes it a strong differentiator.

No. PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite for PgMP. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three eligibility sets, so PMP holders mainly need to document their program management experience.

PgMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle, with at least 8 PDUs in each area.

Why choose Invensis Learning for PgMP training in Louisville?

    Is PMP required before PgMP?

    Pricing

How much does PgMP training cost in Louisville?

Training fees vary by format and schedule, so pricing is available on request. The fee covers PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, and application and panel-review support. The PMI exam fee is billed separately. Request a quote for current Louisville batches.

What is included in the PgMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable templates, PgMP application and panel-review support, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PgMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. PMI members pay a lower exam fee than non-members, and annual membership can offset the difference. Confirm current fees on the PMI store before applying.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customized schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, business units, and leadership teams across Louisville. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    Exam

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The PgMP exam has 170 multiple-choice questions and a four-hour (240-minute) allotted time. It is closed book and can be taken via Pearson VUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test center.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

There are five performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%), and Governance (18%). Program Life Cycle Management carries the most weight.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PgMP. A panel of program management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step in addition to the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis and reported with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target, or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

How many attempts do I get and where do I sit the exam?

You get up to three attempts within a one-year eligibility period from application approval. Schedule the exam through Pearson VUE, either online proctored via OnVUE or at a test center in the Louisville area or elsewhere.

Which standard is the PgMP exam based on?

The exam is based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, published by PMI. Our courseware is aligned to that current standard.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the PgMP training?

The training covers the five PgMP performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement, and Governance, plus PgMP application guidance and exam strategy.

    What learning resources are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PgMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, an overview of the Standard for Program Management, and templates, flashcards, and chapter-wise quizzes to support your study.

Are mock exams and practice questions included?

Yes. The program includes practice questions, full-length mock exams, and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the 170-question, four-hour format, so you can identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PgMP standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to PMI's Standard for Program Management (4th Edition) and the current PgMP Examination Content Outline, so what you study reflects what the exam evaluates.

Do I get a certificate of completion?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the program, which also support your PMI application and PDU records.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility requirements for the PgMP exam?

PMI offers three sets. With a secondary diploma you need 48 months of project management experience (or an active PMP) plus 84 months of program management experience; with a bachelor's degree the program experience drops to 48 months, and to 36 months with a GAC-accredited degree, all within the past 15 years.

How do I enroll in the PgMP course?

You can enroll through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware, and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer PgMP training online as live virtual instructor-led sessions, classroom training, and customized corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule in Louisville.

Can I reschedule to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans include a Flexi Pass to attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.

    How soon can I start?

New live online and classroom batches open regularly, and self-scheduled options let you begin sooner. See upcoming schedules or talk to a learning advisor to pick the next Louisville-friendly cohort.
