    Exam

What if I do not pass the PgMP exam the first time?

You have up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Our training includes mock exams, an exam simulator and domain-focused practice to strengthen weak areas and build confidence before you sit again.

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The PgMP exam has 170 questions and a four-hour allotted time. It is closed book, with single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice questions delivered by Pearson VUE.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

There are five performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%), all based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline.

What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail, with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PgMP. A panel of program management practitioners evaluates your documented experience. It is a mandatory step in addition to the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

Where can I take the PgMP exam?

You can take it online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctored system or at a Pearson VUE test center, including centers in and near Las Vegas. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website.

    Course Content

Do I need prior program experience to take this training?

Anyone can enroll in the training. To sit the PgMP exam, PMI requires substantial project and program management experience under one of three eligibility sets. The training helps you build knowledge and document your experience for the application.

What topics are covered in the PgMP training?

The training covers the five performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, plus application preparation, panel-review guidance and exam strategy.

Which standard is the PgMP training aligned to?

The courseware is aligned to PMI's Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PgMP Examination Content Outline (ECO), which together define the five program management performance domains tested in the exam.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The program includes practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the exam domains, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness for the 170-question format.

Will I receive a certificate of completion and contact hours?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the 24 contact hours of instructor-led training, which support your knowledge consolidation and count toward PDUs.
