Why San Antonio Employers Need Certified Program Leaders

    Governance Maturity Gap

San Antonio enterprises run many concurrent projects but often lack a strategy-aligned program governance layer. That is the exact gap PgMP is built to close.

PgMP builds strategic alignment and governance skills

    Strategy-Execution Gap

Leaders approve transformation and capital programs, but weak links between strategy and the funded project mix cause value leakage that program leaders are hired to fix.

PgMP builds prioritization and benefits-realization skills

    Cyber and Defense Program Complexity

Joint Base San Antonio and the city's cyber cluster run complex, multi-project programs that demand program-grade governance, risk aggregation and stakeholder coordination.

PgMP builds program risk and coordination skills

    Program Talent Scarcity

San Antonio has a deep pool of PMP project managers but few credentialed program managers. PgMP's advanced eligibility and panel review make holders rare and sought-after.

PgMP makes certified program leaders stand out

    Healthcare Transformation Pressure

Large health systems modernizing care delivery and IT run programs of related projects that need coordinated benefits tracking and disciplined stakeholder engagement.

PgMP builds benefits and stakeholder engagement skills

    Capital-Efficiency Pressure

Cost discipline in energy, utilities and financial services pushes organizations to optimize their program mix, retire low-value work and rebalance to strategic priorities.

    Pricing

What is included in the PgMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable templates, application and panel-review support, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours. Request a quote for the exact inclusions in your plan.

How much does PgMP training cost in San Antonio?

PgMP training fees vary by format and provider, so pricing is available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD and is not part of the training fee. Talk to a learning advisor for a tailored quote.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PgMP exam fee separately. For reference, it is around USD 800 for PMI members and USD 1,000 for non-members; verify current fees on pmi.org. PMI membership can reduce the exam cost and provides access to The Standard for Program Management.

    Exam

What is the format of the PgMP exam?

The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario-based questions across five performance domains and is delivered online proctored or at a Pearson VUE test center.

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The PgMP exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours. Results are reported with domain-level performance feedback (Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement) rather than a fixed percentage score.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PgMP. A panel of program management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step in addition to the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains rather than a single target percentage.

What happens if I do not pass, and how many attempts do I get?

You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our trainers help you target weak domains between attempts so you are better prepared next time.

    Course Content

Can I take this course if I am a PMP holder new to program roles?

Yes. The course is well suited to PMP holders stepping up to program leadership. An active PMP also satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three PgMP eligibility sets, so you focus on documenting your program management experience.

What topics are covered in the PgMP training?

The training covers the five PgMP performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%), plus application guidance and exam strategy.

Is the courseware aligned with the current PgMP standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to PMI's The Standard for Program Management, 4th Edition, and the current PgMP Examination Content Outline, so you study the five performance domains exactly as the exam assesses them.

Are practice tests, mock exams and materials provided?

Yes. The program includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes, along with PMI-aligned courseware, templates and reference guides to help you find weak areas and build exam readiness.

Will I receive a certificate of completion after the training?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the program, which count toward your professional development.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility requirements to sit the PgMP exam?

Anyone can enroll in the training. To sit the PgMP exam, PMI requires a secondary or four-year degree with set months of project and program management experience within the past 15 years (an active PMP covers the project experience), plus the panel review.

How soon can I start and how do I enroll?

You can enroll through the Invensis Learning website and choose from upcoming live online or classroom schedules. Select your format, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and resources. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to begin.

What training formats are available in San Antonio?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training, self-paced e-learning, and customized corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning preference.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrollment to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans include a Flexi Pass to attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back guarantee. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrollment.
