How am I assessed during the training?

There is no formal assessment. You apply DMADV tools to realistic design scenarios throughout the day, building capability you can use immediately on live product and process design projects.

Will this course make me a certified Six Sigma professional?

No. It builds practical DFSS design skills and complements Six Sigma programmes, but it does not award a Green Belt or Black Belt. It is skills training in the design-side counterpart to DMAIC, not a certification.

How long is the Design for Six Sigma training?

The course runs for one day (eight hours), covering all six DMADV phases from DFSS foundations through VOC, QFD, concept selection, Design FMEA, robust design and design verification. It can also be delivered as two half-days to suit your team.

What topics does the DFSS course cover?

The course covers DFSS versus DMAIC, the DMADV roadmap, Define (VOC, Kano), Measure (CTQ flow-down, QFD), Analyse (concept selection, Design FMEA), Design (robust design, P-diagram, DFMA) and Verify (verification, validation, design scorecard, design transfer).

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. No prior experience is required. The training introduces every DFSS tool and the DMADV methodology from first principles, with guided hands-on exercises throughout the day.

What DFSS tools will I practise?

You will practise VOC-to-CTQ flow-down, building a QFD House of Quality, Pugh concept selection and a Design FMEA worksheet, all applied to realistic product or process design scenarios you can relate to your own work.

Is the course based on a recognised methodology?

Yes. It is grounded in the established Design for Six Sigma body of knowledge and the DMADV roadmap, the most widely used DFSS framework, drawing on QFD, FMEA and Taguchi robust design.

What materials are provided?

You receive structured courseware, worked examples and reusable tool templates for VOC, QFD, the Pugh matrix and Design FMEA, so you can apply the methods directly on your own design projects.
