Skills You Will Build as a Scrum Product OwnerPractical Product Ownership Capabilities

What you will learn in CSPO is how to own a product end to end: define vision, set the Product Goal, manage the backlog, engage stakeholders and plan releases. By the end of the course you can apply product ownership confidently with a real Scrum team.

    Scrum Framework Foundations

Skills covered in CSPO start with Scrum theory: empiricism, the pillars of transparency, inspection and adaptation, and the Scrum values, all seen from the product owner's point of view so your decisions rest on solid ground.

    Owning the Product Owner Accountability

Understand the product owner as the single person accountable for maximizing product value, how the role differs from project and product management, and how to make and defend backlog decisions under stakeholder pressure.

Defining Product Vision and Product Goal

Learn to craft a compelling product vision and set the Product Goal as the Product Backlog's commitment, connecting long-term direction to the work your team plans each Sprint.

    Managing the Product Backlog

Build practical skill in writing effective user stories, applying INVEST, refining items, and ordering the backlog by value, risk, dependencies and learning so the team always works on what matters most.

    Stakeholder Collaboration and Value

Engage customers and stakeholders, turn Sprint Review feedback into backlog updates, and define and measure the value your increments deliver, balancing competing priorities with evidence.

    Release Planning and Forecasting

Apply MVP and minimal marketable feature thinking, use velocity to forecast realistically, and plan incremental releases that generate early feedback and reduce delivery risk.
